People don’t seem to realize just how good her debut album was, and this song especially. She was ON FIRE. This is alt-pop at its best.

This performance is awesome. Her band is really tight. The bassist and her backup singer rock da house, ... Then when Nelly says, "bang, bang ... " ... too cool.

Pure talent, absolutely beautiful and voice too. I was doing security for the concert in ATL years ago and Bono introduced the warm up band...Nelly Furtado, she just released her debut album. Lights were still on, place was pretty empty, U2 was the headliner, there was an extended “rub and scratch” on the turntables then went into I’m like a bird. That was the first time I had heard that song and something was special. She was wearing very tight blue jeans and she was Smokin’ Hot

La letra hace referencia de que CUANDO DEJAMOS DE HACER COSAS PARA "SATISFACER" A LOS DEMÁS, ENTONCES POR FIN SEREMOS…LIBRES Y VOLAREMOS LEJOS!!!
