Nelson Sullivan Visits His College Roommate in Walpole MA in 1987

Nelson Sullivan remained close friends with his college roommate George Johnson long after they graduated from Davidson College in 1970. In this video, Nelson is returning from George's summer cottage in Provincetown and is staying overnight with George and his partner Kenny because the next day they will be traveling to Woodstock NY to see Sylvia Miles' performing in "Tea with Mommy and Jack".

hello, I want to express my feelings here. I am a Turk and I met Nelson Sullivan, the owner of these videos, on KZbin 4 years ago. although he doesn't know me, he must feel in his grave that I admire him. I watch all of his videos and I spend most of my time on KZbin with his videos. I understand that you may be surprised and find crazy about what I said, but it makes me feel good. As someone who loves nostalgia, I can say that I am not an American, but I remembered that I am a human being at a time when technology has developed so much. What we feel, our feelings, our love and longing have no language, religion or race. I enjoy watching his videos, it's like I'm on a life journey with him, I love you my friend. RIP🙏

Wow I used to live in Walpole went to high school there it looked so different back then. That cvs is still there I didn’t even know cvs was around in the 80’s. Mustos barber shop just closed last year after being open for over 70 years. These videos are like a time machine I wish he showed more outside footage.

Definitely. I think Kenny found Nelson to be annoying and probably had a fight with George before he arrived there because he didn't want him to stay over, but George couldn't say No due to them all going to dinner at their mutual friend Silvia. Plus, Nelson and George probably had been intimate in the past. Explains why George seems a bit sad and withdrawn and Kenny is aloof and quiet. Nelson obviously could tell but tries to brush it off.

George is still alive, and was a longtime administrator in the MA schools. Graduating from Harvard in degree in psychology. He was diagnosed with aids in 1995, but seems to be in good help still.
