Thanks for this info... I don't have any experience in the bus portion of entertainment touring but I do in tractor trailers... I'm a 22yr vet and I've got a year tractor trailer entertainment touring. I'm looking to make a change in the transportation industry, but wanting to stay in the entertainment portion of it, so I'm looking into tour buses, thanks for all the content

I drive like this with the new MCI J4500s on regular charters with the bus company I drive for; the other drivers think I drive too slow starting out..lol. Absolute joy to drive a big bus in this fashion and the passengers can really feel the difference.

Thx,great information,love the roof air at the pumps ,fuel smell in a confined area is just nasty ,and hard to get out .

1:06 elogs are the best, they not only avoid problems with the dot, they actually gain one more useable drive time due to logging in seconds instead of increments of 15 minutes. I love my elogs. plus they make logging so much easier and quicker, instead of having to fill out all the form and draw lines etc... probably 30 minutes wasted every day. you have me hooked, I only have a year of big bus experience, but 9 yrs otr 2.5 as an owner operator , I'd have to be able to bring one of my 4 lbs chihuahua's. I have tons of limo and taxi experience so customer service and professionalism are tip top. yes know when to talk and when to just drive the vehicle , is important. just there to do a job, not out there to be star struck. I met enough famous people working in circuses. , generally not impressed.

If you're not holding that steering wheel any better than with a finger, I wouldn't ride with you. You must have never had a steering tire failure at 65 mph. Also, fighting the traffic of downtown New York City or Chicago, you had better move a little faster than an idle or you will get hit by taxis and passenger cars alike. (20 years bus/entertainer driving experience)

You ARE driving Ms Daisy for the most part...on a tour bus! People are walking around w/ a cocktail, sleeping etc. You can't drive like you're 15 min late to missing your plane or you won't have a job very long in this business. All it takes is one complaint from a band/crew member about your driving and you'll be on the next plane home. If you're an impatient driver you'll last about 27 minutes and be driving a taxi in some city instead. I drove tour bus in the mid-90's, I'd drive for this guy in a heartbeat. He genuinely lays it out front and center what he expects as a professional entertainment coach driver and he's right on the mark.
