Nemanja & Iryna dancing Kizomba in Amsterdam

Connection in dancing can happen in various ways.
Sometimes, it is an emotional one.
Sometimes, it is through a smile and joy.
And sometimes it is through music and its story.
Both @iryna_tysyachnik and I are immigrants, her from Ukraine, me from Serbia.
Both left our countries to create a better life for ourselves as where we come from that was not anymore possible.
As the song says, it was not always a bed of roses the process of finding our place in a new environment.
And so here we are, dancing and channelling what we feel through art, as our path and a reminder where we came from, while looking up proudly in the direction where we are going to.
Blessings to all who are immigrants or refugees.
May wherever you be, become your home.
