I would encourage you to jump on our online chat to talk it out at: rapidswholesale.com/catalogsearch/result/?f=Nemco+Commercial+Tomato+Slicers&q=Nemco+Tomato+Slicers but my quick answer would be, spam would be soft enough not to damage the unit, but it is designed with a "curved" stock to cradle a round fruit like a tomato, I'm not sure how well spam would fit in there. I'm sure there is a better solution for you we can equip you with. - Paul

John, i would agree, the sound was not great. We have invested in wireless microphones in the 6 years since this video was grabbed at the tradeshow. Skip to :20 and you can see Joe using the slicer. - Rapids Crew
