How cool!!! Thanks for sharing! I love Nemesis, loved riding it again a couple of weeks ago. Went on it when it was new. Queued for over 4 hours, there were amazing drummers to entertain us. I hope the red waters come back too! ❤

Where they having problems with the track such as cracks appearing? Or did they just decide that 30 years was the end of life? Im trying to understand what exactly forced the decision to re-track the ride? I would also love to know the ins and outs of how the new track was manufactured. Did B&M still have the original blueprint/dimensional data and send it over to Claremont steel in the US, or was the original track sent over for them to duplicate copies of each section? I know the company that made the new track sections for the big one at Blackpool made them by building jigs around the old sections of track.

sound dampening sand in the track to reduce noise, plus some retracking, plus some enhancements. apparently the ride will remain the same, but will be smoother and quieter. John Wardly spoke of enhancements too, though I don't know what those are.

@@aidanbyrnes9513 They are replacing all track apart from the lift hill, station and final brake run. They are also replacing almost all the supports and adding a new support to help brace the downwards helix. (I would also assume that they are replacing the trains or at least refurbishing them - I don't know for sure about this though) In additton, like *@Big pawed bear* said, the new track sections will be partially filled with sand to dampen the loud B&M roar. Alton Towers has to fill the track with sand due to a contract that states they have to be "good neighbours" to those living near to the park (ie. make things quieter). John Wardley said that the work would take approximately 18 months and that he looks forward to the next 30 years of Nemesis.

@@mackmgb8017 the original coaster has reached the end of its service life and its still too popular to remove. The same layout will be rebuilt but it will be an entirely new built coaster
