You should definitely check more earlier Nightwish with Tarja. Especially live versions are crazy good! For example "The Siren" and "Bless the Child" are two of my favorites. :)

Thank you! It is interesting that you have not heard this song before (or should I say that you don't remember hearing it) since it is one of Nightwish's biggest hits😊 Nemo is from the album Once that was released in 2004. That's almost two decades ago. In my opinions the visual effects are quite good for it to be that old music video. :) So the album I want to recommend is Once. It's just full of hits!😄 And it's my favourite Nightwish album of all time. It is the last album with Tarja, but I feel like in that album they just got everything in harmony. Tarja's voice wasn’t just a voice, it was an instrument that fit the music perfectly. Nemo is my favourite song from Nightwish!❤ To me the video is also so iconic! Nemo is one of the first songs I ever heard from them. I think they filmed this during summer🤔 or spring...

A year after its release is a great time to give it a listen. For the record Floor 1st met NW in 2003. The lady was fronting a band at age 18 called After Forever. They were chosen to open for NW that summer in Europe. She remained friends with the band most assuredly including Tarja ever since. Tarja went solo in 2006. In 2012 when it was made public that Floor was going to replace Anette as lead singer Tarja had invited Floor on stage in Belgium at the female voices of metal festival. Tarja endorsed Floor publicly calling for love and no hate. They sang the NW cover of Gary Moore's (1986 & 2000) Over the Hills and Far Away. The sound mixing was off that day, sadly. Tarja was trained for chamber music where the voice needs to be heard over the orchestra and cut through while being part of the sound. Tarja incorperates vibrato and leggato along side vertically extended vowels. A classicsl technique not conmon in modern singing. Technichaly demanding. Breath control is essential. Now this can be lost on an untrained ear and matters of taste aside it creates a unique sound scape. If you specialize you trade for general appeal. fine. But neither option is better or worse in and of itself. Two different but valid options. Keep in mind singing is physiological too. Every body is unique. What works for one may not for another Also equipment and artistic choices vary. Tarja was forced out due to personal matters between the band members and members and management. Certainly not for lack of abilty to perforn or sell records or pack shows. That goes for Floor as well about talent and selling albums and packing shows. A simple anology. prove without resorting to opinions which flavour of uce cream is superior. A pointless excercise. Rocky Road is not Mint chocolate chip nor vice versa. No one would expect it to be. Just how good an example is each one of its kind? The ladies held an online concert in IG during lockdowns. They also had a lovely interview. Floor is some 5 years younger then Tarja and thought of her as an idol. Both Queens have nothing but love and appreciation for eachother.. Marko has left NW and since last year toured together for select dates with Tarja. The old friends made up over xmas 2017. There will be a full tour together in 2025. Marko is in a band called Tarot with his brothers. These two still have that chemistry and ability to sing with anyone. The charisma coming off these two on stage is magificent. 2 friends having so much fun. That is what it is about, do your best, have fun. The old magic is still there.

Agree that the quality of this video, and also the audio, is probably not that great. I really need to suggest you try and watch better videos to be fair to Nightwish and the singers. First, there is a dispute about which of Nightwish's 3 singers is best, etc, somewhat fruitless, but certainly some case can be made for watching current singer Floor's Jansen's videos, such as the Wacken concert, and generally preferring live concert video versions, vs. the studio created official release videos. So for any other Nightwish reactions, PLEASE try either the Wacken 2013, or Wembley 2016, videos (e.g. Poet and the Pendulum from Wembley). Also, the audio here does not do justice to Tarja either. She has two really, really good videos out -- one with Nightwish and one solo. If you wish to pursue more of Tarja with Nightwish, see "Sleeping Sun Live" on the official Nightwish channel. This is a really beautiful video, and currently has over 25 million views. For Tarja solo, see "Tarja - Until My Last Breath" on Tarja's own KZbin channel. Often considered her best song, one she usually ends her solo concerts with; beautifully shot, and currently has over 15 million views. Otherwise, for Nightwish, stick with the Wacken favorites: "Ever Dream"; "Ghost Love Score"; "Song of Myself"; or also "NIGHTWISH - Storytime (OFFICIAL LIVE VIDEO)" on the KZbin channel "Nuclear Blast", which has over 25 million views to date. Can't miss with any of these suggestions!! P.S. -- I'd love to leave the links to the songs, but I'm a notorious KZbin poster, and KZbin automatically deletes my post if I try to add even a single link. (Already had two posts deleted today). But definitely try some of those suggestions. They should come up on Google pretty easily. 🥰😘

About fake snow... Do you have any idea how pain in the arse it is to shoot with non fake snow... I helped friend making his final assignment in media school we were attending, playing old reservist soldier handling horse in black and white short film... For like 20 minutes of the movie we did shoot like 3-4 hours in freezing field, I had to make the large animal next to me doing ok and I didn't hav almost any work experience with horses, like I can work with cows and dogs and sheep etc and also one of the boots I was wearing was half cracked open so I was feeling really cold by one foot... Had frost burn after it and then did got to almost 40C fever next day and the cunt of the friend even forgot to give me the copy of the movie...

Fun fact: this year is Oecanburn's 25th anniversary. With this album, Tuomas finds his direction and establishes symphonic metal. Take a look at the album.
