I am from the era of Deep purple Black Sabbath Lead Zeppelin etc and Nemophila has all the right quality's to be held in the same regard not quite yet they need a few more years and world tours but its all there .

Which ironically one of Deep Purple’s biggest hits was My Woman From Tokyo. Deep Purple is definitely one of my favorite bands from the classic rock era, and Nemophila is my current favorite band.

in person Hara's bass was awesome, but TAMU's drums blew me away here, the mix here balances it a lot in this MV, but LIVE in NYC she was earthshaking THUNDER! loved every second.

I love this song, it's so powerful, especially LIVE. I love the studio version also. But wow, this really gets you energized LIVE. I will never forget how it blew me away in NYC! So awesome, every layer. TAMU smiling away and just destroying that drum kit, Haraguchi's bass pumping out energy, both guitars, Hazuki in your left ear, Saki in your right, active and face melting the entire song and MAYU, her personality and voice, you can just feel the passion in her vocals, the backing vocals just wrap you up like a warm hug. Hi Michael! Yes! This is a song you have to hear LIVE! I'm glad you had the opportunity to see Nemophila live! I saw them perform "Change the World" twice; in LA and Webster, Texas and every time they perform it, it's better that the last! And, that's the thing about Nemophila: every performance is better! I'm desperately trying to get Nemophila to come back to the US.! I have friends living in Europe who are not in the best of health, and can't make the journey elsewhere. @@Russ.Murphy Hello Russ! I am really excited to see them again some day, so I cannot wait till they return to the USA. I want to see them, Band-Maid, BRIDEAR and Lovebites in Japan some day also, just a dream for now. Will be amazing to see them again in the USA though, do you think they will return on tour here in 2024? I am really interested to see when they release the next album as well, I have a feeling it's going to be a late 2023 release, though I don't think I have seen any official buzz about it yet.

@@michaelmunno I just pre-ordered a new live performance BR and a CD of cover songs that they are releasing in early November, so I suspect we won't see a new album until next year. I haven't seen anything communicated from them directly, but I snoop around CDJapan once a week, to make sure i don't miss any new releases from the smaller bands that I like, and was surprised to find these two listed.

I'm back. Has anyone else noticed Saki let out what looks like a lion's roar to the crowd, huge facial reaction near the end of her first solo, the one right after Haraguchi's bass solo. I love how passionate she gets when she plays, she was in a zone here. Just curious if anyone else noticed it. (timestamp to click on right before she appears to roar 01:50 )

I watched this show on line and Saki went full rock star. I love how there all so individual Hazuki during her solo is so happy after her ascending run ,huge smile telling us i nailed that and i love it .There all brimming with joy and overflowing with fun when they play live most of the songs have extra bits added and Saki never seems to play the soloes quite the same playing in the moment naturally you have to have full confidence in you ability to pull that off.

American musicians seem to have that "I'm a rockstar" attitude and you should feel special to be in my presence, whereas the Japanese female musicians are more like, "I love music and appreciate that you love it too. Thanks for supporting us so we can continue to share more music with you. We will do our best." Respect!

There’s a video of them performing it at Aftershock last year, but because Mayu was in her 3rd trimester her vocal projection was very much reduced, due to a baby sitting on her diaphragm. But the whole performance that day was so nuts. The whole show is available on KZbin.
