Tamu Murata was on Maternity leave. The drummer is Show-Ya's own drummer playing her bands song for Nemophila. The drummer is also wearing a t-shirt designed by & with Tamu's trademark Frog. Why a frog?? Don't know. All guest drummers filling in for Tamu wore a T-shirt with that frog on it.

That frog is Pyonkichi, a character from old anime first released during the 70s titled (in English) "The Gutsy Frog" - could be Tamu's favourite anime/character. She was with Pyonkichi as long as I can remember and they are good friends for decades 😆. You still can find those anime clips... that shows Pyonkichi is err.. troublemaker 😅

This frog's name is Pyonkichi. It is a famous anime character called "Dokonjoh Gaeru", which was broadcast on Japanese television from the 1970s to the 1980s. When she wore the Pyonkichi T-shirt that her mother bought, she became her favorite.

It is the fate of basists. No one care. It is also the fate of most drummers and most rhythm guitar players. Its all about Angus and almost nothing about Malcolm, even though Malcolm was the foundation of AC/DC. It is partly about who is replaceable, but also about who is visible. Replacing Mick Jagger is not easy. I would say, in Nemophila, the two guitar players and Mayo are irreplaceable. I really like Tamu, and she is probably the most skilled one in the band. But, Nemophila should maybe survive with another top notch drummer. Miki Tsunoda would probably not fit though. Or maybe I am wrong. Tamu really IS very good. And also a very nice person, which also counts very much. The Nemophila group seems to have a remarkable good chemistry. Then regarding Haraguchi-san? She is also a part of the good chemistry. And she is very good, and made a superb job in this cover. And she is one om my favorites in the band. But I have not seen any claims that she is crazy talented.

@@rolandkarlsson7072 Mayu indeed may well be the best technical musician in the band (and that's saying a LOT). Replacing her woudl be difficult, but not impossible - although it would be a short list to pick from. But replacing any member of Nemophila would risk that magical chemistry that makes them stand out so distinctly from all but a handful of bands anywhere.

Substituted drummer is playing Tamu's kit! That's pretty huge respect from Tamu to let her use her gear! Wow!

No doubt in my mind Tamu has tons of respect for Mittan-san. And what a cool thing to have the original drummer sitting on your cover version!
