While I struggle to understand it, I could not help but tip my hat to Nemu's unconditional love and loyalty. Both qualities are admirable and at the end of the day Mayuri created her so I suppose he is like family regardless of how he might treat her at times. I think Mayuri genuinely felt despair and love in the end too. He was embarrassed to show his tears but Nemu is the best thing he ever created after all and she proved it right here by destroying the left arm of the Soul King.
