@Smolhane: I'm supprise that no one in the chat told here that a tomato is not a vegetable, it is a fruit, to be a fruit, when you cut it, you will see little seed near and arround the centre, and that is not the only definition to be considered a fruit, a fruit grows from a flower, also the cherry tomato where a bad choice specially if she hate anything that is way to sour, and the cherry tomato are the most sour fruit
@pfune38113 жыл бұрын
To this day i don't understand how there are people older than 5 that dislike vegetables, you can dislike one maybe but all? too many kinds to hate them all. I understand with shrimp, those are one step away from cockroaches.

Tomato are bitter? Cabbage is spicy? There has to be something lost in translation, because those terms do NOT match up with those foods. Also, how is it physically possible to stay alive without eating any vegetables for 2-3 years, lol.
@smolhane3 жыл бұрын
Great question! She uses the words 辛い ("spicy", could be "salty" depending on the context) and 苦い ("bitter"). Now, if you look at chat in the original stream (about 5 minutes in), you can see many comments (written in Japanese) from people who were also puzzled by Nene's description. So I think this is just a weird choice of words from Nene. It also seems that raw cabbage can have a slightly spicy taste to it, though I myself haven't experienced that.

If you're veeeeery sensitive, it can have a bit of a radishy bite to it. The conditions it's grown in can have an effect too.

What even are cherry tomatoes? Are they cherries the size of tomatoes, or tomatoes the size of cherries? Or maybe some cursed crossbreed of the two? Anyway, thanks for the translations!

Tiny tomatoes, basically.
@FaalFeim3 жыл бұрын
Tomatoes the size of (or smaller than) cherries. They're relatively sweet, though not to the point of being dessert-esque like many fruits. I've never tried eating them with sugar, but normal tomatoes sliced and then dipped in/sprinkled somewhat heavily with sugar are pretty good as long as they aren't under ripe, so I imagine cherry tomatoes would taste pretty good that way too.

Cherry-sized tomatoes, like the others said. I do enjoy them (haven't tried them with sugar yet). Thank you for watching!
