so you can use an old CRT computer monitor a 20:20 nice. what is the maximum resolution output from that board. why is there no link to this board where do you buy it from?

Hey John, I wish I could design stuff like that! I would make a ton of FPGA replacement boards! :) 1360 x 768 is the highest on the conversion PCB. The monitor itself I need to check it's a 4:3 aspect ratio. I got this monitor from a local fellow collector...it was part of a large video wall.

Arcade Hollywood well it's not so difficult these days to design a board like that if you have a CAD system you can run it through a CAD system does the work for you. printing the circuit board is about $3 each. what's the price of that PCB ?

Hey Creepy Todd, the monitor I used already had a large metal bracket so basically it's only bolted in 4:48

Have you thought about getting a scanline generator? Set the cga board resolution to 640x480 then the scanline generator blanks out every other horizontal line. The result is a super sharp low Rez 240p look. I use this technique on VGA pc monitors with neo Geo home console. ;) Worth a try.

This... doesn't do what you think it does. No game will output the higher res without scanline doubling. You're basically just changing the way scanlines and mask looks. You're also undoubtedly adding lag to the chain with that cheap conversion board. This imo, is a waste of a hires monitor. You're just forcing newer tech in because you can't work with the old tech, but monitors for US neo geo are widely available. It was one of the most massed produced systems.

Been there, done that. No doubt this monitor isn't the original. On this channel I like to experiment a bit with parts I have to bring stuff back to life in some form. Appreciate you watching but don't appreciate your attitude.
