Neo Turf Masters might be a golf game, but it somehow manages to be just as raucous and over-the-top as many of the fighting games out there, and it's ridiculously fun. Even if you hate golf games, give this one a try!

there are differences between NEO-GEO arcade cabinet (as you like to call it) and this version for instance in the arcade version there is contests appearing occasionaly on holes if you break the record you will gain an additional life (hole) in the arcade version plus in the arcade version you have to get birdie or better for extra lifes (holes) to avoid spending additional quaters the CD version does not have since no lives but to compensate it there is a secret course only appear in CD version

Do you know that you can make backspin effect when you land in the green? Just hold the stick down when selecting the height of the shot and hold it until at least half a second after pressing the button to select the height. (The intensity of the backspin depends on how much time you hold the stick after pressing the button)

The SNK sports games are so underrated but they are so much fun! I remember playing the NeoGeo Pocket version all the time and I still do.

Yeah, but you can disable most of the voices (on the options screen under Announcements) and that speeds things up considerably. I turned them off on the third and fourth courses just to show the difference.

One thing I can never figure out is, what does she say after "Player 1 starts to strike back." Sounds like, "This is now his support." At first I thought she was saying score, but there's too many syllables and quite frankly the music is too loud for me to make out more than that. Anyone know???

Was playing this on Fightcade not long ago. Also have you ever heard of "Fightcade" Basically an emulator for MAME games that you can play online with each other, fan made and easy to use. You can use your Facebook account on it too. Arcades are always fun to play with two player

I don't like the synth solo of the Australia/Scotland course theme of the NeoGeo CD version, is so annoying. It gives you headaches.
