Very cool and I am thinking about ordering. I was wondering if it would be possible to tie in to the turn signals and have it sweep from the middle toward the side you are signaling to turn? Maybe timed so that the sweep is in between the on-off of the turn signal light. Also, have you updated it to the version that has the small OLED on the controller itself?

Thx for the interest. The current version has the OLED. I maintain current info on my blog to keep it centralized. As for adding in turn signals, I did consider it, and it can be done but the demand is not there and it adds costs.

would be cool if the kit had the screen included

I hear ya! I assume you are referring to the front controller I built for my ND2 (kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWiwXn-qmdGjj5o)? Thought about it, but it goes from a kit to a lot of custom mod work and most people want easy/plug-and-play and low cost. That part would add significantly to the cost and amount of work needed. Having had it in my car for some time now, I find it has limited added value also...

@@PlastiBots yeah okay i understand. too bad. would have been so cool to have that feature. And as a diy kit?

Spoiler alert! Stay tuned, as I have been working on a future version that has a tiny OLED on the controller itself. Not "remote" control like the other one, but makes it much easier and faster when selecting sequences/modes.. Also adding more sequences.. Hint - brake flasher! Suggest subscribing to get updates.

My only concern is voltage spike causing file corruption with that seeeduino.

Voltage from the vehicle first passes through a switching regulator capable of handling 5-30V before it is passed through at a constant 5V to the MCU. This handles any sort of spikes. Also consider that most modern vehicles are much better at managing voltage spikes or tail / signal light bulbs would be blowing often... Typically you see something in the range of 12.1 to < 14V max.

Any idea if this would work on NC3 models?

With a few simple mods yes.... Looking for a guinea pig as there are some unknowns such as: 1) Does it fit under the trunk lid lip? 2) What is the ideal strip length (NDs are 73cm). 3) It needs 3 inputs: 12V (from running lights), 12V (from brake being applied) and GND of course. It also would require positaps or something similar to tap into the wires as I don't know what connectors are used on the light harness.
