NRG EFFECTS TPS now made me aware of you. I really liked your Kicker pedal. What a fantastic pedal for a mostly clean player like me. But I’m sure it works great for dirt sounds too. I checked out your website.
@neilgrimes4 жыл бұрын
Thanks loads @@JazzRockswithAdam! Yes, the KICKER-5457 does wonders for clean tones, but can also really enhance and push drive sounds too. So it would also work very nicely with PURRER-mini or another of my other dirt pedals in the Monochrome Double setup. You can do much with just a good drive and boost. Give me a shout anytime if you've got any questions or requests. Neil

The Hamstead tremolo is marvellous! The most realistic one I’ve heard out of all the tremolo pedals. They’ve clearly nailed the electronic paraphernalia going on under the metal case!
@pedalgazer71094 жыл бұрын
WOW- that neon Planetarium thing is amazing. It sort of sits somewhere between a pedal and rack gear- although it might more sense to just plunk it on your desk and use it for mixing. I went to the company's website and watched their tutorial. Amazing piece of gear. I figured it would be really expensive, but it's less than half the cost of a Strymon Big Sky- go figure....Here's a quote from their website- "If you want to make epic cinematic music or blur the lines between electronic/post rock/ambient genres then this pedal will help get you there (but if you are looking for a tool for your Status Quo covers band you're probably on the wrong website..)."- now that's MY kind of pedal. Can't wait to get one!
@jonathanyork36364 жыл бұрын
How analog is the Planetarium? I assume the verb and delay is digital- but what about the compressor? Website says it's a VCA. If so, that's a budget friendly price for a VCA compressor.

You guys have been magnificent as ever these past months. You have grown and evolved an already powerful and entertaining learning experience into a continually relevant enterprise - and I did not even mention the beautiful and inspiring music you have made along the way. In 2003 or so, I sold my MesaBoogie Pre, my Ensoniq DP4 and TubeWorks Power Amp for a Mac, Amplitube and an interface (GarageBand, BIAS Deck, ProTools, then Logic). It seemed so practical and amazing back then - and I spent years creating songs and the whole bit. But as Apple continued to make life harder for creatives, I am sat here with my 2006 MacPro upgraded to the hilt and hacked to 10.11.6. But as of 4 years ago, I have not been able to solve certain problems that emerged. Enter the Kingsley Page and some other preamps as my fix. That's about when I discovered you boys in days when it was still GigRig's channel. Now, I have a handmade, lovely EL84 amp, a load of pedals, a decent speaker mic-ed in a home grown isolation box in a closet - and I have never made been happier. I hope this nerd meltdown helps you know that there is lots of love out here for you as you and your skills - and your music - continue to change the world.

That Synth-1 is amazing! I firmly believe that every pedal board should have at least one special effect which sounds like a broken glitch monster. You know that scene in "Rocketman" where Elton is playing the Troubador and he starts to actually *be* the Rocketman, feet rising from the ground, a star rising towards its new home and taking the audience with him? Yeah. That. That's Dan playing the Planetarium and TPS Viewers rising into the ambience along with him. If you sync up some of Dan's ambient chordal work with certain scenes from cinema (real cinema, not Marvel "movies"), like Tarkovsky, Lynch, Kubrick, et al - totally works. Dan should do soundtracks.

Part of one of my rigs uses a Boss GT-6. I'm used to the synth stuff. Is the Keeley pedal polyphonic? If not, I have found that bending/vibrating the string is counterproductive for usable sounds for me personally. I know there are no rules to creativity. I just find having as little play in the string as possible works best for me. I spent years working on making "finger vibrato" natural and then had to train myself to not vibrate the string while using monophonic effects.

I could buy a Neon Egg for the looks or the name alone! If only the Hamstead Trem had a Harmonic Mode.... Thinking out loud, what I'd really like is a pedal that can switch between regular photocell style trem and a harmonic trem. I know I could get that out of a variety of multi-effects and things like the Flint like a favourites switch but I'd really prefer something analog and menu/secondary funtionless if that makes any sense?
