@allhailfoamy1 Yeah people tend to like things more if they can relate to them. Never watched highurashi i'll have to check it out and I liked Death Note although at times it had a phony feeling to it just because of the characteristics of the main characters. Monster is another Anime I like though the story line isn't too dark but it's still really good.

that doesn't mean anything people will like what they like but anyone who's seen NGE knows that the tone of this song doesn't fit with the original series thats not just this song that goes for all types of rock songs but hey thats just my opinion

Yeah I agree. Its too upbeat in my opinion. It doesn't fit the anime's darker undertone. Something like "Monster - Skillet" or "Monster - Disturbed" fits a lot better. Hell "I am Machine - Three Days Grace" works well. I could argue "Vengeful One - Disturbed" could work. But yeah a lot of rock songs don't work the song "Fate" works wonderfully.
