The part where I'm confused with is the shade you created, I'm not getting the same effect and I'm not sure what I might be doing wrong.

What a terrific video! Thank you so much for taking them time to make this. What's really funny is I watched your earlier video about doing this using Maya, which I do not use, so I searched KZbin for Blender animated sign for SL tutorials and THIS one was the first hit on my search. I wish i had realized in the beginning that you had a Blender version of this, so i wouldn't have wasted so much time watching the original! Thank you again, you did a super awesome job!

okay so i dont have substance painter, am i able to just use photoshop for the glowy material part?
