They all under characiformes, which includes tetras, piranhas, pencil fish and more. If you look at Cambodian blue tetras, I felt them it’s mini version on piranhas facial features.

As long as tank weather is over 75F, it’s good for breeding them. There are not seasonal.

I did a water change and all my neon tetras died within an hour😢 they got stressed and then swam to the surface and died The betta who lived with them is okay I'm not sure what i did wrong, i did like a 50% water change like usual with dechlorinator, maybe the water i used was too cold this time or i used too much declorinator (maybe like a drop more) The strip showed the water parameters were within the norm Idk what happened and i don't want anything to happen to my betta😭

They lived in my tank for 4 months before and were healthy and water changes never caused stress like in their final moments (nipping, swimming frantically, hitting the glass, not schooling)

Just in time, I think about keeping these as soon as I'll have some more space in my 20g tank which is Mickey Mouse platy territory at the moment.

@@aquadiaryofficial Thanks, I will need it, before your video I only heard bad things about neon tetras like: they have 1 year lifespan, picky eaters, need specific water, jumpy fish, they have light sensitive eyes and list goes on. Honestly at this point I just want to test if they are as crazily hard to keep as legend says, which would be a laughingstock because neon tetra is cheap among the cheap fish.

@@amirgurung6148 could be due to temp changes and water.....you should consider using a oxygen bubbler for Betta and i didn't use it as some people say it's not that important

I named my neon tetras the big bertha group and the gold panda molly fish keep eating each other's poop and there is only one molly because 2 died

@@TACONUGGETS Molly eating poop seems weird, but natural. I have seen that in many tanks, actually I seen them eating all different fish poop. But sometimes, it’s undeveloped baby that they eat and we think it’s poop.
