The girl who came in first place, Megumi Okada, has an interesting background. Her nickname during her time with Sakura Gakuin was 'the Warlord'. This is because she is a direct descendant (15 generations removed) of Ieyasu Tokugawa, the warlord who united Japan in the year 1600 and founded the Tokugawa Shogunate that dominated the country until 1868.

One of the smartest girls to come through Sakura Gakuin. I won't leave any spoilers about which member had the overall best Nendo Test scores of all time. : )

@@rickwagner- I always feel humbled by your vastly superior knowledge of BabyMetal and Sakura Gakuin. I rate Megumi in my top five Sakura Gakuin girls of the post BabyMetal years. Maaya Asou is without question my number one.

@Scipio Corculum There are lots of folks that are more knowledgeable than I am, especially with Sakura Gakuin, but I'm a huge fan of both to be sure. Megu is certainly one of my all time favorites. We don't see her nearly enough since they changed all the Monday to Friday girls on Oha Suta. For some reason it took me a while to warm up to Maaya, but damn, what a great voice she's got.

Well it is for television or whatever. It's not like nobody is going to see it. It's not a real class. It's a school themed idol group. You always see the class from the same side because there is no near wall. It's in a television studio. My point is that they have big cameras pointed at them. In the outtakes you can see how close the cameras are. It's enough to make anybody nervous. It's no wonder so many of them went on to acting and modeling.

​@@KenjaTimu Sorry to tell you that you're totally wrong about the TV studio. It's known that they are always in different and anonymous office buildings to film their shows and not get disturbed by fans. You can see that in the 2012 nendo (Su's surprise party where she runs through the corridor after being pranked by YuiMoa and the test they write right after or before that (same hairdoes etc.) and the 2013 nendo (prank and test in the same room - when they ran off in shock after Mori's entering you see the window-front and all four walls). And as for the test: the nervousness is real, because the shame when losing is real, no matter if it's a school test or a show test. And the camera's are no big deal for them anymore since they are used to it for years.

@@WardHouse - Not really. You can plainly see in the extra moments that the Nendo Classroom is totally fake and only has 3 walls. I didn't say anything about other rooms. It's a television show. In between takes they have people running in and doing their hair and makeup. But sure you're right about the office building thing. It's shot inside random office buildings. Might as well be a television studio.

@@KenjaTimu Are we watching the same video here? Because (A) when they are walking into the room at the beginning, you can clearly see "natural" light in the hallway, and (B) in the actual test room you can see the sunlight coming through the windows shown on the floor. In the 2013 test, if you pay attention, the test was shot in what is clearly sunlight, the results were then given at night time hence the room lighting being more noticeable. You can also tell by the windows in the doors. Bright light coming through during the test, dark for the results. Fairly certain 2010 and 2011 were shot in the same room. And, I am fairly certain that that is also the same room used in the "Yui's Depression" video. That room clearly has 4 walls and windows. So I am not entirely sure where you are getting this idea of a "fake" room from.

@@SilverArrowsMP - Because i've seen it. There is an outtake video that clearly shows it. That is where i'm getting it from. It's a small fake room built inside a larger real room. It only has 3 walls. Everything about it is fake. Everything is scripted. It's not a bad thing. No real children are that cute unscripted. They learn their lines and if they mess them up they have to do it again.

I've watched a handful of the later Sakura Gakuin episodes. So many of the girls are really funny. I grew to really like Yuzumi Shintani and Tsugumi Aritomo. There's much adorability to come.

That is easier said than done. I have never been able to find any later nendo class tests on You Tube, although I have seen some of them on Daily Motion.

@@tiaopiak The 2016-2018 tests do appear on Daily Motion from time to time, but I have never seen them on You Tube. Nor have I seen the 2019 test anywhere yet. I believe that all of the nendo tests appear on various special editions of the various Sakura Gakuin music CDs, which include a bonus DVD with videos.
