What is funny about this to me, is I knew of Machine Girl’s music first and just thought the Album((the wicked heart; OST) was made for a game that didn’t exist. I’ve listened to since it dropped and loved it. Randomly, I found a tier list for Machine Girl albums and found The Burn That Cures. I immediately found the game afterwards and downloaded instantly because banger OST and over the past year or so it’s become one of my all-time favorite games EVER. Everything about this game is so fucking good, I even ended up getting into the storyline after I got desensitized to the cringey parts. Mikey is my favorite aside from White and Heaven Central Authority is such a hard fucking track.

You mean game of the decade? Easily ome of the best games I've played period and that's saying alot. However for a smaller budget game this one really delivers and surprised me. It's very enjoyable and satisfying in a different way to putting your nuts in a vice like all tarnished love to do.

Playing it on the switch the in game cutscene when you beaten a whole mission is the only thing that will make you realize your playing on poop hardware. Other than that, great game to play on the switch and imma definitely use it help train my gyro aim skills. They are subpar atm but imma... Definitely 100% this game and i am on like. I am at the second boss fight and i am sure i have nearly platinum everything thus far and gotten all the collectables so far.

Im not sure if it was out back then but im sad that you didn't talk about the hidden ruby medals you can get if you complete a level Insanly fast! Best time I've had in gameing for so long is to collect all of those. Definitely a 10/10 game! And if you really liked this game you should check out cyber hook. Its far from as good but same type of game and its also alot of fun!

@@notrenbanney2450 hate to be that guy but *pushed up glasses* stuff like avatar or castelvania are heavily anime inspired but because they were made in the west they aren't considered legit anime. Avatar is still a cartoon to most Japanese folk. I personally liked it when it was airing and thought it was cool if not a little weird that it resurged in popularity. I don't like that we have these distinctions but it's the same with music genres. They exist for a reason. Code lyoko is another great example as that's a French show with plenty of hand drawn anime styled animation.

One thing I like about this game is it doesn't try to please everyone. It caters to a specific audience. As the devs put it, it's for freaks, and I am sure as hell a freak because this game is my game of the year.

This too is my game of the year. Yes we get it Elden Ring is the best ever. There won't be a game to top it until the next From Soft game. However this game is non stop fun. I've played for 22 hours now and haven't experienced a single second it boredom. It's unique, addictive and simple yet hard to master. Absolutely amazing game.

It does work on steam deck can confirm, however it feels like ass to play it with a controller and you have infinitely more control with keyboard and mouse. And u normally don't hate controllers for fps, it's just clunky here.

Art is subjective, so it's fine if you don't like the music. As someone who was vaguely aware of machine head prior to this the ost blew me away. Definitely the best music they've put out. Usually it's way more abrasive so it's nice to hear energetic yet full of soul. I get why people wouldn't Vibe with it though

The game is weird, since everything but the gameplay is Japanese. Do I love it, yeah but it's weird as fuck. This is American Persona platforming. Oh, and I generally hate 1st person platforming, not here though.
