SPOILERS! I think it's better that they showed her when she was alive cuz people (like me) will sometimes collect all the gifts before moving on with the level so in my point of view Red was still alive so if she somehow showed up dead it would've been major spoilers.

Are these the same developers of tattletail? Tattletail is a horror game and the knock-off furby is a tattletail.

8 months late but Ben Esposito (who worked for Angel Matrix during neon white’s development) was also involved in the development of Tattletail, so I guess he wanted to pay a little homage to the horror game :)
