Everyone hates themselves in the comic because what they’ve been forced to do to keep the monster race alive Mettaton is a victim of sexualization, Papyrus wants real love and connections, Frisk wants to show the Underground what love is and Rosie (the Flowey equivalent) is an innocent soul because he was made with Asriel’s stillborn dust and never got to properly live. I feel so bad for the creator, seeing their creation tarnished and misrepresented and then harassed by people who never looked past what other did to the AU
