Im my opinion, wolven is the way to play. Not only does it provide good and effective gameplay, but it also is the most immersive in my opinion, Geralt should be using all the things he has at his disposal, which this armor allows because it’s a jack of all trades, plus it’s his school’s armor.
@h80np39
@h80np39 Жыл бұрын
I absolutely agree with that, especially the immersion part. It just makes sense for geralt to go with the armor of his own school, as it would suit his combat style the most.

Just a shame that you can't get the Wolven Armour until you're about halfway or so through the base game (since you can't get the base version's diagrams until the plot has you go to Kaer Morhen).

Truly the best Witcher 3 next gen video around. I can only imagine the effort that went into not just the production but acquiring all the gear, and formulating the early/mid/late game point allocations! Last I played W3 was when it first came out, and I did Cat build very similar to yours here. I started out a new playthrough and got bored doing the same thing, so I happened upon this video. I switched out to the Griffin sign based build, and it's a lot of fun!

I have not yet played NG+ nor Next-gen version, but I will do so. The game is really great, but after some time it has weaker moments. I agree that the fights should be harder or more engaging in some way. It could have much less opponents, but with better AI and more capable so that playing a Witcher is more like in books and less hack'n'slash.

@@vyredrac7710Axii is more a passive skill. I’d definitely spek into that. If you go for a Griffin build, I’d recommend Ignia maybe. Then just follow what he says in the video. This is by far the best build guide for Witcher 3 that I have seen - well thought out, while striving between a balance of fun interactions and good damage output and decisions made based upon synergies and set fantasy (since Skellige is all about extremes and hardiness - a Witcher using Bear armor and being a towering-way-too-much-potion-imbibing indestructible madman is definitely appropriate) and not just going for Euphoria sword/sign play regardless of the set used while not considering any alternatives. At some point, when you play through the game at want to mix things up, this definitely provides you with good inspiration. Great video, the work is definitely appreciated!

This guide is one of the best I've seen. It really opens up the replay value that the 4.0 rebalance has created. I'm with Neon that Forgotten Wolven armor with Piercing Cold is incredibly fun. The weight of those blasts is one of the best feelings I've had in any game I've played. The ragdoll effects of an instant kill can be insane, as well. I sent a bandit flying over a distant hill, cartwheeling in midair. Adding that to those gorgeous sword kill animations makes for some epic battles. Thanks!

As someone who learned how to make builds by myself and understand how and why, which and what works with eachother - by taking only the best parts from other guides years ago, i can really appreciate the comprehensive explanation to all the skills and glyphs you include for each build, and in a way that assumes a person clicked on the video for a specific build and not all of them per se. Very well done, I'm happy your 1h video got the attention it deserves so more new players have an easier time learning the ins and outs of building. In so many playthroughs i have never played a maxed out sign build and now that i saw what you did with the Griffin i think that's what I'm gonna try next in NG+

One of the main things I loved and *still* love about the The Witcher 3 is how much it feels like games from the old days. It released in a completed state, it was full of genuinely fun content, it had no gimmicks or pay walls, the world is vast and interesting to the point you actually want to explore, best of all, (to me) new game plus. Even more, is that they gave out free dlc and when they released a expansion it felt like it fit the word *expansion* . If all game developers made games in this way they would never go hungry again. This video is awesome! Thanks for making such a detailed guide. It is clear that you put a lot of time and experimentation into it to get these great builds. I like the wolf one because it feels like the most immersive. It's Geralt's school, and it is the most balanced, relying on both signs and swords. That said, the Viper build is rediculously overpowered. The fact that you can run troll, ekimara, and katakan, and still have room for potions means that you always have great health regeneration. Then whirl with aerondight, and all the other uprades, can kill most enemies very quickly. Viper is also the cheapest and easiest to get since you don't have to upgrade all the way.

For the Forgotten Wolven set, I like to go with Gorged On Power and Focus skills instead of Muscle Memory and Precise Blows. Makes the Aard much more effective as you build adrenaline, while not making fast attacks a no brainer, leading to more combo variations with heavy attacks. Also I just stock up on Greater Veles runestones, as you don't need that extra sword damage for the build to unleash it's full potential. Nonetheless, great builds! Love the content!

The only thing I don’t understand in this video is how are you able to reach 260 weight load without having strong back equipped.

Right now I’m addicted to cat armor + tawny owl + ancient leshen decoction. Almost instant stamina regen, can kill a whole bandit camp without even drawing your sword.

Another great video. Cat and Manticore builds are the closest i use. However never wanna be so powerful that combat becomes boring. My Geralt is sword master, focusing on strong attacks with fast movement using alchemy and basic signs. Always trying not to be hit by enemy.

Another tip for metamorphosis: Using Axii on roach is a very quick and easy way to apply “critical effects”. I found this accidentally and thought it was cool.

I just finished watching the entire vid. Well done overall. I make builds on my gaming channel and I wouldn't expect anyone to carbon copy builds, and they should really just be a baseline for everyone's personal preference. I have a similar Wolven set I do to yours, but I swap out adrenaline rush and deadly counter when I want to have fun. I'm going to try the conductors of magic with firestream. Interesting interaction I didn't know about.

I've just kinda been accidentally doing the wolven armor build. I added the tolerance perk and active quen, but other than that, I'm just doing a low-level version of the build. Low level since I went in blind and am still on my first playthrough

something i think is underexplored is using euphoria for sign intensity as well as sword damage. it doesn't make your build stronger but if you're playing the game enough to be comfortable putting these builds together then you do enough damage already. the build im currently making uses euphoria, manticore armour with igni/aard glyhps, both griffin swords with severance, and it basically gives you as many ways to fight enemies as possible. you can use both kinds of sword attacks, whirl and rend, and aard/igni

tried them all, all of them are an absolute blast. even tried a wolf build with metamorphosis instead of COM and it was so good at getting the mutagens with the igni and bleed stacking it was awesome and very fun. if you haven't tried it, please do you'll have a blast guaranteed. great video too been a fan for a while just now decided to comment for the first time (I think) ❤

God, I'm pretty close to getting the entire Griffin build on. It's not even 100% and is already overpowered. Thanks so much for this, I never thought that Witcher Signs could be so cool

I just recently found a silver sword named Gesheft and I think it would be better for the griffin sign build I found it after following the wisp in the land of a thousand fables after killing the cloud giant and the silver sword for me does 981-1199 damage and adds 20 percent sign intensity on all of the signs I think this would make the griffin build even stronger.
@michaelklein3244
@michaelklein3244 9 ай бұрын
You need 6 piece Griffen for 40% bigger traps to fight in for the bonus and the stamina regen AND sign intensity increased by 100% and damage reduction reduced by 20% if you don't use both swords you're trading all that for that Geshef bonus. Not worth it by no means.

15:52 tbh i usually just reload or exit dialogue when there is a speech check so i can equip delusion. So instead of delusion ill just put alt quen sign for free heal. Ill also put fleet footed instead of the adrenaline skill since those i frames come in handy

Thanks a lot, man. Lately, I started exploring different signs, potions, and firecrackers and I'm a fan of the wolven armor. It's canonically correct and not only that it's not that kind of a META because people would usually use the aerodnight and Tousiant steel sword. Now I will be able to play with the signs more often

On ur Griffin build you should try Eruption instead of Rotation. Explosions are much more fun imo Also the Ekhidna and Ekimara potion go well with the Griffin build because one increases stamina regen by +2 per second after every standard signs cast and the other regenerates health whenever using stamina to cast a sign

It seems to me like carrying Wraith Decoction might synergize well with that Bear build; free Quen shield when a hit takes 1/3 of your health off and the set bonus gives you a chance to cast another when that one shatters. Edit: So I just realized, you can't actually stash decoctions. So I guess you have to permanently drop your decoctions? Which means once you commit to this build there's really no going back since decoctions can really only be made once. Well I guess technically you can make them again in NG+, but if you do you've hamstrung the build unless you throw that decoction away again.
