Shakespeare's parents were illiterate which is why people have that misconception but that's actually fairly common even now-a-days to have children with a higher education than their parents.
@oole0111 Жыл бұрын
How can someone knows that Shakespeare was a writer, but think he's illiterate?
@in_the_pines Жыл бұрын
@@oole0111 well, first off you need to start with a question that actually makes sense. Second, just bc you are a writer does not mean that you have an education. However, Shakespeare actually did. Back then it was mostly males who were given higher education unless you were a female in the upper class of society. Most women would pretty much stop after elementary while the men would continue all the way through university. With that being said, his mother was actually the first to teach him with what little education she actually had just by reading fairy tales and small children's books but anything more than that she wouldn't be able to help with which is around the time he went off to school.
@oole0111 Жыл бұрын
@@in_the_pines It makes sense, what doesn't make sense is thinking that ones of the greatest writers of english literature, can be illiterate.
@in_the_pines Жыл бұрын
@@oole0111 do you even read? I said it's a common misconception meaning, no he's not fucking illiterate his parents were. Maybe if you took the time to pull your head out of your ass you would realise I was actually correcting what was said in the video not agreeing with it. Also, by you claiming Shakespeare is one of the greatest when in reality he's pretty mid just shows me how much little reading you actually do IRL. Learn to read before typing out something so stupidly dense.
