dang, so close. I feel like you would made it if you stayed on the gas a little longer and swung the steering back and forth. it really helps the front wheels find traction. awesome video as always, keep up the great work.

Yes I did notice that in editing that the car was still inching ahead, the reason I stopped when I did is the backend was digging down fast and I was worried about water coming over the door seal, which a little did in the end, my front floorboard ended up wet from that. There was a pretty decent bank still ahead of the front tires also so I’m not sure how much further it would’ve really gone. I also had a plan to use my front winch to pull the car ahead using a small tree that was directly in front of the car, so I didn’t want to get suctioned in to the point where the winch wouldn’t pull it. Rain X is great stuff for the windows, if you have wiper problems.

Yes I know I use it on all my other cars but I haven’t been using it on this one because it makes the windshield streaky on camera. There’s nothing wrong with the wipers, it’s intended to only have one.

Actually not, the plan was to back up after he got the shot and pick him up so we could continue on the trail across the river but there was a washed out section when I walked ahead so we just backtracked. Wish I could find some better trails that actually led to somewhere, we are almost always having to drive back out the same way we came in.

Was the Neon available in AWD in Canada? In Australia and Mexico only front wheel drive. By the way, I used to own a PT Dream Cruiser like yours back in Mexico, sold it in 2007 when I moved to Sydney, Australia 🦘

I built this car, it’s completely custom, based on a Subaru platform actually, so it has Subaru symmetrical AWD. If you’re interested I have an entire build series on it in my playlists, I spent 3.5 years building it. That’s an interesting move, Mexico to Australia, a few more vicious animals to look out for!😉🤣

@@CarswithNash Yes, we have some meat eater Kangaroos, just kidding, nothing beats a grisly bear. By the way, now I am working on the restoration of a 2006 PT Cruiser 2.4 lt 5sp manual transmission. This bug is not from Mexico or America, but made in Austria. I believe 2006 was the only year that both Australia and the UK (right hand drive countries) sourced they PT's from Austria.

Excellent skills, you have to lift it another 25mm in my opinion. The body is too close to the tyres. Your design for the approach & descent angles are fantastic though. Greetings from Auckland, really enjoying the regular content.

It’s already to maximum I can lift it now, any further and the axle angles will be too extreme, I am on a group for a lifted Subarus and that is a big problem when you lift them too much they start blowing apart axles. There are always going to be obstacles I can’t get over, but as long as the car is durable enough to stay running we can get back out and get home and that is the point. Hey I got a question about a pt cruiser will a 2004 altenator fit on a 2001 pt cruiser bothe 2.4l ....I'm looking to upgrade altenators and the highout put they have they say is only for 2003 to 2005

The best way to check that is to look up both parts on the same website and see if the part number matches. I’m betting it will.
