i live south of the lakewood lodge and ride the o&w in the carbondale area.. i gotta get up to where you guys were at. looks like a blast.

Awesome! We have made it out to the gas station in forest city and the first coal pit but one of the locals had to get home so we turned around. We can meet up one day and see if we can show each other so more spots.

No, closest public legal trailhead is at the Lakewood Lodge in PA.

Never been but we’re planning on coming up in May sometime. Heading out of Simpson and plan on riding all the way up to the end of the trail near Hancock. Looking for a place to stop and have lunch before we turn around to head back. Is Tinks a good spot and reasonably accessible to the trail end in Hancock? Also, traveling at the trails speed about how long does the ride from Simpson to Hancock take approximately ?

Hey Dan thanks for asking. At trails speed give a few hours to enjoy the entire length. There are a lot of good spots to stop and eat, take a break etc. if you are coming up to ride this trail make it a full day. Tinks is good to eat. We really like arlos as well. If you are stopping half way then fishing hole or Lakewood lodge.

We've ran the O&W from Gratton Singer Hose Company up to the end and back. I'm new to the hobby but is it ok to drive on the street at the end of O&W to Tinks?

It’s not legal or part of the trail system but we have been doing that for years. Just keep it slow and be respectful

Is this 100% all O & W Trails or other trails? Been wanting to try out O & W soon, so figured i would hit up youtube to get an idea on the trail system.

This is local trails then from the fishing hole on is the O&W system. Make sure to grab a trail permit. For the price it’s great to have no hassle and support the club. If you find some locals they will know more of the off O&W trails.

Does river road connect on the pa side from calicoon bridge all the way up to where the equinunk inn (lordville bridge area) is? On google maps it shows it stops then starts up again

It stops at kellams and you take paved road for a minute or so back to dirt river road again. At the end, it turns back to a paved back road and you run that for a bit to Carols Inn.
