I have to say, the BEST adventure documentary on KZbin, others tends to advertise, this video showed it as if we were there. Also, these adventures can be done for $8,000 per person or $40,000 per person, choose your tour guide carefully as these routes are not for the fainted heart, so many unforeseen accidents happens there due to everyone rushing to get to their destinations and lack of following the rule of the road.

Thank you for bringing a lot of fond memories from my own trip to Nepal and Tibet in 2009. The bikes were old trusty Enfield Bullets and off-roading, and plenty of it was on landslides, roadworks and no-roads. But generally Bullets were coping mechanically better than your bikes however is seems that we were riding tad slower. Cheers from Australia.
@OllieMoto4 жыл бұрын
Sounds like an awesome trip. I think that these particular bikes had been well used, and maybe not well maintained, but they still coped with whatever we threw at them! Glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻
@andrews.81584 жыл бұрын
@@OllieMoto Saying the Bullets coped better was probably a bit too positive statement. One of the bikes totally burned all of electricals on the first day (fortunately close to Kathmandu) The clutches were replaced on practically all bikes over the length of Nepal leg (1180 km) One person finished in hospital and had to be sent home. But that's adventure. I'm now 71 and retired and still ride but on tarmac only.
@OllieMoto4 жыл бұрын
That sounds like an incredible adventure. To be honest I find I enjoy it slightly more when things go wrong, maybe not at the time, but when you can look back and say ‘yeah we sorted that!’ then it’s a great sense of achievement. Obviously I’m not talking about the injury though! Take a look at my Morocco series - we also had a lot of drama on that one so maybe that will also resonate with you! 😂

Fantastic video! Loved the fact that it wasn't something you'd find on a TV show, but rather something real. You included the banter, the local people and culture, and even the problems along the way, which made it far more immersive. I'm betting you made Nirmal's year with this trip and he is definitely someone I'd look up for a guide if I ever manage to make it over there as I hope to do. Headed to check out the rest of your videos now :)

Had gone up till Kagbeni in December 2018 Unfortunately couldn't go further up to Lo Mangthang Will definitely come back soon Also what's admirable is the effort behind this video compilation, the amount of time it must have taken with literally each biker having a GoPro and so many footages to go through Amazing ! Love from India
