@Nepal, We are in the year 2020 but Nepal airlines only have two A330-200 planes in its fleet as of 31st May 2020 Nepal needs to buy more airplane especially the Boeing family series. And I want to see Nepal airlines be managed by magar, gurung, rai, limbu and tamang people. For last 60 years since the Nepal airlines started, it has been in the hands of wrong people. To start everyone needs to realize that Nepal airlines and Thai airways went to the service in the same year. Look at today after more than 60 years of establishment of Nepal airlines compared to the Thai airways. Thai Airways operates a fleet of all widebody aircraft from six families Airbus A330 Airbus A350, Airbus A380, Boeing 747, Boeing 777, Boeing 787, totaling 74 aircraft as of 31st May 2020 while Nepal airlines only have two A330-200. Again everyone needs to understand Nepal airlines went into service on 1 July 1958, as Royal Nepal Airlines. Thai airways were started on 29 March 1960. The history even shows Nepal Airlines is older than Thai airways. We need to ask these few questions. 1. Why did Thai Airways succeed while Nepal Airlines is in dire condition? 2. Where did all the revenue from Nepal airlines go to? 3. Which group of people have been managing the Nepal airline since it went into service? 4. Why is it that Nepal airline can't afford Boeing 747, Boeing 777 and Boeing 787? As far as I know, Nepal airlines used to have a connection with Boeing. Nepal airlines acquired its first jet aircraft, Boeing 727s, in 1972. Two Boeing 757s gradually replaced the airline's Boeing 727s in 1987. But after almost 30 years of active service, Nepal sold it's first 757 named Karnali to Bhawan Bhatta, managing director of BB Airways, for $1.46 million in December 2017. Nepal airlines sold it's last 757 named Gandaki to A US-based company - CSDS Aircraft Sales and Leasing Inc in December 2019. Just for the fact file: A Chinese President has two Boeing 747 Jumbo jets for his use, meanwhile, Nepal as of today can't even afford one such aircraft. Finally, I would like to see Captain Vijay Lama become the managing director of the Nepal airline or the Aviation Minister of Nepal once he retires from Nepal airline. I am sure Captain Vijay Lama will succeed in taking Nepal airline to a higher level and make the Nepal airline well known throughout the world. If Kulman Ghising can bring light to our lives, I am sure Captain Vijay Lama is the man who can propel Nepal airlines to be a world-class airline. You know the indigenous people of Nepal are honest. Corruption does not run in their blood. People of Nepal need to pray and hope and best of all give Captain Vijay Lama to become a managing director of the Nepal airline or the Aviation Minister of Nepal in the near future. One day I would like to see Nepal airline become a member of the Star alliance. I would love to see Nepal airline fly to every major international city like New York, Sans Francisco, Milan, Paris, Frankfurt, London, Johannesburg, Melbourne, Zurich, etc etc etc. That day would be the best day for all Nepali people. Long live Nepal
