Continue from discription above: As she started to pursue her dream of flying, she faced numerous hurdles as Nepal is a slightly conservative country and the aviation sector is anyway male-dominated. But, she didn't let any of this bog her down, kept her spirits high at all times and now, she assertively handles an all-male staff. However, despite soaring so high in her profession, Priya still has to face gender-discrimination as people often ask her if she, a woman, can actually pull-off such demanding tasks. To this, she replies that her job might be more suited to a man but she works really hard to meet the expectations. Along with doing everything that she does, Priya also takes care of all her responsibilities at home. To this day, she gets up early in the morning to prepare the day's meals for her father. Besides, she willingly performs multiple household chores as well. And by 6:00 am, she is off to the airport to resume her professional duties. A role model in its truest sense, Priya does not want any other aspiring girl pilot in her country to go through what she did. "It should not be questioned again whether girls can do it or not because I have done it. I know I am the only one in Nepal but there are so many female helicopter pilots across the world," she says. If anyone has literally proved that if you give your 100 percent then the sky is the limit, it is Priya Adhikari.

I watched the full vedio. I have found my idol. Capt. Priya Adhikari, I have so much respect and admiration for her. Pursuing her passion, breaking the norms and “going for it head on” mentality. I have utmost respect for her dedication and perseverance. Not only a rescue helicopter pilot, she runs a business, practices boxing, does yoga and these things combined she is the biggest and closest role model for me. Although I am never going to become a helicopter pilot myself but I see myself in her. I want to be a surgeon, have a food and beverage (cafe) business on the side, follow my passion for kickboxing and yoga too. I have always doubted that my interests would be left behind when i choose my career but she has proven me otherwise. If she could do it I can too. Hopefully, I will meet her and share a conversation, that’s a dream.

I am really impressed thru her simplicity, intellect thinking and bravery who is doing mountain flight as a pilot herself her contribution to our needy society of this nation is highly exemplary honesty saying Pilot Priya is our national icon of this 21st century especially a great source of national motivation nepalese for upcoming education youth educated generation of both genders they must learn from her to be independent self reliance and disciplined towards own profession that’s amazing for me Salute you Pilot Miss Priya kept it up Go ahead like this really proud of You !
