May you live happy. It reminds me of my childhood in Korea. I was born in a poor family in a countryside and should prepare rice by myself in teenage. I tried to escape from it and the best way was to study hard. Once I enjoyed having pizza, steak, bulgogi, soda and so on but now I prefer and am having meals as shown in this clip. As a result I am much healthier and peaceful. I cannot forget the experience with my family and friends at that time. Most of my friends work in city and they are rather rich but they want to go back to the country at some time. Under a smoking pot, I smelled the grass and timbers in fire. Thank you for sharing such a good film.

Nettle leaves are supposed to be nutritious, especially tender leaves. She also cooked sliced potatoes and wild mushrooms with the leaves, and used only salt, no green or red chillies for spices. The children look plump and well fed. Air and water look clean. Obviously they live a contented life. In their yard they grow plenty of taro (also called elephant ears) for both leaves and roots, as villagers in India do. All these vegetables are quite easy to grow. They are fortunate to live like that, I think. Yesh Prabhu, Bushkill, Pennsylvania.

@@caramelobear1952 Hi Caramelo Bear. Nettle leaves, which are thorny (the thorns become soft and harmless when cooked) taste just like spinach but more flavorful. In the video you can actually see the thorns, that’s why he is wearing rubber gloves on one hand, and uses fingers to gently pluck the leaves only, not the stem. I see that he is using flower buds also. Taro leaves (the large leaves that look like elephant’s ears) are even more flavorful and delicious; but they must be cooked well until the chopped leaves become slightly gelatinous. They are often cooked in coconut milk to make them more flavorful. The giant taro plant, the super large variety, grows into a branchless, ten feet tree. The leaves are not edible, but the roots are. The harvested roots look like trunks of small trees, with thin, brown bark. They can be cooked or deep fried in oil until brown, like potatoes, like French-fries, and are delicious beyond words. I just enjoy fried taro roots. Yesh Prabhu, Bushkill, Pennsylvania
