nice, you ever think about running an irrigation setup?

The water proof fans are a must. I see some people with humidifiers, lighting, 4 or 5 regular oscillating fans with mister systems set up and don’t know how they can sleep comfortably lol

Awesome setup :) I wouldn’t personally want to make a setup that makes it impossible to enjoy my plants passively, but you do you and I’m really happy that it’s optimized and thriving!

Thanks for really breaking everything down and providing links! Super helpful. Are you still thinking about switching over to coco husk chips? I've actually got my whole collection in them now and they seem to be really liking it, though I'm watering about every other day. I don't see people doing pure chips a lot so tbh I'm kind of confused as to why mine are thriving lol. Also- I feel you on the powerful lights. I'm running a 150w Mars Hydro dimmable LED and I've got it dimmed AND 5 feet off the top of the canopy. Rather have too much than too little I suppose

I've started switching some plants over to coco chips. The plants don't really seem to mind. I'm still experimenting with the right mix to get it to wick properly in my set-up

I’m curious if you’ve already added your A/C unit for summer. I’m in the southern US where it is hot and dry and have been very seriously considering getting a tent so I can grow more neps, but I worry about keeping it cold at night.

Turn your lights facing the top of your tent ???
@BakuretsuKoinu2 жыл бұрын
The cost associated with running led is the cheapest and their output is very intense. Go ahead and diffuse it if you have to. It's becoming a commonly accepted tactic for these plants.

I have a bunch of leftover barrina LEDs that I might swap the Florawaves for if decreasing the light interval doesn't yield the results I'm looking for. They're lower power than the Florawaves and would have the same effect as putting in shade cloth (win-win).

Is this the best tent you can get after your research
@pings_n_things2 жыл бұрын
The tent itself is quite nice but I'm not impressed with the quality welds on the tent poles. In my opinion, Mars Hydro makes a similar quality tent for a lot cheaper.

How good do these work for Nepenthes?
@pings_n_things Жыл бұрын
Grow tents? I'd say they're pretty much essential for a lot of species and hybrids unless you live somewhere tropical

One thing you can doo to, IS to turn off the lights off A few times A-day for like 5 to 10 mins.
@pings_n_things2 жыл бұрын
Wouldn't that have the same net effect as reducing the photoperiod by a couple hours?
@TheFenrisDragon2 жыл бұрын
The idear Is to give them A chance to cool off A bit and get A bit more wather to the tip-leafs. ( It Is only my thorths )
