I have one question... if you need a 24 hr urine Na+, u have to collect the urine for 24 hrs after the patient is admitted... and any intervention eg IV fluids/diuretics whatever u give to the patient is going to alter your realuts... so how is it feasible to keep the patient untreated just to get an FENa

For the fractional excretion of any substance you would need the spot value, not necessarily a 24-hour value.
