More than John Wick, the fight scenes share the cinematic style of the Raid movies. Look the way the camera movies. While John Wick had a sassy and stylish feel to it, this has that dark and brutal aspect of the Indonesian movies.

John and Rama fights with whatever is available, both are a deadly one man army yet they carry a deep and personal history, one is a Dad and the other a grieving husband who lost his wife and dog, This guy is no different, A spec op who lost his daughter saving a little boy to prevent a possible gang war. It's just that while John Wick prefers to fight with a suit, a sharpened knife and a customised Taran Tactical AR-15 rifle, Indonesian movies fight with what's available, knives, batons, bats and hammers, heck even a fucking stove will do.

As someone who does Brazilian jiu jitsu, I was SO EXCITED seeing several kinds of bjj/judo techniques, defenses, and even the use of distance management!! Using his legs to push away the attacker while he was in a less optimal position with his back on the ground, defense of the rear naked choke while standing, the shoulder throw, the sorta “ghost sweep” into anaconda (so epic) where he got the ultimate rake submission😅 Was watching this with my parents, jumping up and down like a little girl, even though I am a little girl haha I then discovered his kids are studying jiu jitsu- so awesome!!

It's raw brutal. Tyler had to be in order to complete the task. Realistic fight sequence where no one was waiting to get receive blow.

I love how he used the low-kick. It went grom upwoard-downwoards, he stept and turned his other leg, he aimed at the knee-cap area in order to make it a trip. Just beautiful display of choreoghraphy.
