@@dinodare1605 To expand on what has been said, The dev essentially went silent for around 2.5 years (at this point in time it was extremely common for him to do so, which meant nobody really cared) the issue is that during that 2.5 years he complete reworked the entire game. The dev being a perfectionist believed that his rework was perfect when the community expected just more similar to the content he showed off before he went dark.

Main issue I always had with this game was the difficulty, lack of direction, and slow progression. It’s seems to be just where it was when I played the game in alpha. The game has a lot of potential and a lot of content but it’s far to big and random for you to really get anywhere even after hours and hours of playing. Grinding gets extremely stale and repetitive, often times feeling very much like you’ve hit a wall in your progression or a slog to get through. With no clear goal or main quest to do your really grinding for what feels like nothing. Eventually the game loses its charm. The developer did however make a very ambitious and interesting play your own adventure RPG which I do think deserves some commending.

It wasn't that difficult, but the problem was the slow progression, but everyone hoped they'd just add more content to make the grinding/progression feel more rewarding. But the Alpha, even in its limited state, is still significantly better than the 'full' version which removed the leveling system, removed the skill from combat, now it really is just better gear wins the fight (in the alpha you could still kill strong bosses by just being good) and decided to region lock good gear and item progression to 'fix' progression rather than...adding content. The Alpha version was fine if there was just more. If the world was more interesting by there being more content, if the progression was more interesting by there being more skills to unlock and more items to get and if there were proper quests to do and better dungeons to go through, etc. It really does just seem the developer just got bored and wanted to throw out a 'finished' copy of the game either for the money or to get the game over with. The game had a lot of potential and really could have been something, but they just never put the time in to making it any better.

All the items you gathered, all your equipment goes POOF, when you go to a new zone. Basically the dev thought the "Gather equipment and tools" part of a game was the most interesting part, so they decided you should do it over, and over, and over again.
