While I can't fully speak for Narc's opinion, I think the best way to phrase it (or atleast the way I interpret it) is, "While it was never stated that what was shown in the showcases would be in the phase 2 alpha; the fact it was not stated that this was at worst concepts that would be expanded on later or at best systems and models that do exist but may not be bug-free enough that Intrepid feel okay with putting it in the alpha lead to people (including Narc) to believe that the showed content would atleast be in a somewhat functional shape in the alpha 2. Therefore Intrepid not stating this, leading to disappointment and feeling of being lied to in some people (including Narc), has caused Narc to feel like he lied and caused people to spend money for something they weren't going to get in the alpha 2. Among a few other things this has lead him to deciding to step away from making content for the game." I do disagree with him in that the content doesn't exist at all. I do believe that the content not being in the alpha 2 in any meaningful way, although it appeared like it was going to be in the alpha 2 through showcases, makes it's so that it fuctionally does not exist. I'm assuming as I have not played ashes myself nor have I watched anyone play it for an extensive amount of time if at all. TL;DR: While I don't 100% agree with Narc, I do believe a lot of this has come down to him not finding the right wording to properly express his viewpoint. Though I am only roughly a hour and a half in and the conversation with Narc is not yet finished so this post might be entirly irrelevant.
