Why is the hat grey instead of blue. Wasn’t it blue in FOTR? It’s always disappointing to me that it’s so frequently shown as grey in depictions, and then in the Hobbit movie, despite it being subtly blue in LOTR. I can’t bring myself to buy a grey one.

Yeah, it bothers me too. That's why I made one myself. It's relatively easy as far as sewing for a beginner goes, and the materials were also really cheap.

Great video! I have a question about one of your previous videos about the history of Moria. What would happen if the Dwarves of Kazhad-dum never found or awoken the Balrog of Moria? What if the Balrog of Moria went underground somewhere else when Morgoth was defeated? How would Sauron deal with the Dwarves? What different events and changes would happen? How would the status and feel of Middle Earth be affected as time went on? How would the peoples of Middle Earth including the Dwarves of Moria be affected by this? Another scenario, what would have happened if the Balrog had escaped or left Moria? Was it in hiding? Was it trapped down there, or was it sort of like Smaug in how Erebor became its home. What do you think? I think this seems interesting. There's a feeling that all these peoples, Dwarves, Elves, and men kingdoms are either diminished, reduced, or non-existent anymore in the Third age. It would be interesting to see a great super power of a race in its prime against the mighty evil of the times in the third age.

Are you more of a wizard or the warrior type? ;-) But to be honest, they are not that different if you don't think about who wore them, so: decide which one you like the most visually. I chose Narsil (because I don't like the runes on Andúril).

There are various types of synthetic felt. They are very cheap and making your own Gandalf hat, on the right blue color, isn't that difficult.
