The original version of "The World" was designed to create & be ruled by Aura. But its data was destroyed by a fire. CC Corporation tried to bring it back as "The World r:2" but the new version is too different for Aura to manifest properly. She can't normally communicate with players. She tried to create NPCs to work on her behalf, based on heroes from the past (Kite, Orca & Balmung) but they ended up looking bizarre. However, the power she once wielded was divided among the avatars which are now bonded to human players. So she's telling them to use that power to save the other players.

Oh, I see. That makes a lot of sense. I originally thought after the players behind Kit, Orca, and Balmung left The World. Aura created her Knights based off of them and the fire happened and corrupted their data when CC Corp brought it back as R:2. But, the R:2 just not being compatible with Aura which made it harder for her to interact with players and her powered weaken so when she made her Knights that ended up like corrupted versions of the heroes makes a lot more sense than what I thought. Hmm... I wonder by the time of R:X and beyond Aura finally became more compatible with the newer versions of The World. I really love and miss this series.

It WAS back in the day, but they kind of let it fizzle out, plus stuff like SAO did basically the same thing but became much bigger because it appealed harder to the anime crowd.

I don't remember having this hard of a time on this fight on any of my playthroughs. Azure Kite is the only one immune to Broadsword Stun, and the guns make Haseo extremely agile. Unless you did no extra content from the past two games, then Haseo's stats should also be through the roof. The main thing to look out for is to make sure to guard the magic attacks.

I think My level was lower than azure kite so i have a hard time fighting this, i prefer guns combo because it is easier to dodge, but when i use item, i was agile for a while

Yata is such a horribly written character. Throughout the game, not once did he question why Kite, Balmung, and Orca are present in The World Re: II since he somehow is the player behind Wiseman who helped Kite on his Journey.

The final part of the speech of Aura....is relationated with hack sign. Sora in the past when Aura was a awakened as a young girld...helped Tsukasa and the rest to rescue Aura from Morganna hands. but suffered a data drain from Skeith because betrayed Morganna. Helba helped to hide Aura clossing the server.

Isn't the World just an online game? Whats so fuss about it? Players of the World act like they are heroes. Actually they are bunch of kids in real life?

While part of it is just players being a little too overdramatic and too into their online gaming, the thing with the World in the universe of .hack is that it was secretly used in heavy AI research and internet development and things that go wrong in the world can affect the general global network. Not only that but people play it through fancy VR interfaces that get them so immersed in the game they sometimes forget they aren't actually in the World for real and certain anomaly's in the world can actually suck the players mind into the game and leave their body comatose. So it's little more simple than just someone sitting in front of a PC monitor. It's basically proto Swords Art Online.

Yep, .hack is basically a story that is comparable to SAO in the overall theme of Virtual Reality gaming but you probably won't find much .hack fans who would say SAO has a better plot. Artificial Intelligence is a heavy theme in .hack. In SAO, the concept of the players dying inside the game and then dying outside of the game has zero relevance to the overall goal of the Main Villain as far as the original SAO is concerned. Essentially, there was no need to have players die outside the game of SAO because there serves no purpose besides being something like those Death games that was popular around that era. I mean, the scientist dude just wanted to create a floating castle for sakes. Inside .hack, players instead get comatose for dying inside the game when they come across Artificial Intelligence enhanced/corrupted monsters or players. While logged inside the game, their mind is essentially inside cyber space due to virtual reality. The A.I. can trap their minds inside the game, not allowing them to log off. In the anime OVA, the players wear VR goggles while using a controller still, but that's essentially outdated real world concepts of VR idea, anyways, when they are facing corrupted monsters or players, their mind is shut off inside the game from the outside world. They can't log off, their mind is trapped inside the game, they cant feel their real body in the real world, they essentially are in a state of trance in the real world as if possessed. The OVA .hack//Liminality episode 1 showcases this state of Trance when the player's mind is locked inside the game. As cyber corruption inside the game escalates, cyber security around the globe are affected too because the game "The World" is essentially a front for Artificial intelligence data research and brainwave collection of thr players. Cyber security threat is a serious concern in the modern world since our world essentially is dependent on the Internet cyber space for everything, thats what .hack is going for as far as the real world is concerned. The goal of the Heroes are to solve the root of the problem and the data corruption caused by rogue Artificial Intelligence in order to awaken the comatose victims, if they fail, the comatose victims will die alongside the system crash of the internet cyber world amongst other things like infrastructure around the globe that are heavily reliant on the usage of the internet.

@LVL5esper so they can just take off their equipment before being attacked by ai inside the game. If the game universe is like Matrix, very very futuristic, then the game itself doesn't feel like one. I don't know, I just can't buy it.

@@miracanil5490 The World was designed by a genius programmer and theres like, certain things (like a certain tone that plays when dangerous ai are involved) that lull the barrier between the players mind and the game's code and make them susceptible to the dangers, and prevent them from having frame of mind to be able to simply remove their equipment in danger. It's just something you have to accept about the premise, lol. to us it looks like a pretty standard PS2 jrpg but in-universe its like, super high tech and immersive and like living in a different reality when theyre playing.
