If you think back when Roots happened, everyone thought that all television would become like roots. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Roots cost so much money that television wanted something that would be 3 episodes and done. or a Star Trek or an X Files. Westworld is maybe double what a normal show is to make cuz they shoot it on Film. No one in TV does that, just shoot it on the RED camera. it's a third of the price. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am eager to see what will happen to blockbuster movies once they have made every comic book saga out there. I know they will never run out of stories to adapt, it's just which ones will rise as the next Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter.

I think that William is indeed still in love with Dolores, unhealthy and harmful as it may be, he has never gotten over her. Not only was it seeing her in that party scene, but it was the fact he said to Juliet, "I don't belong to you", and just like that he flashes back to seeing Dolores in Sweetwater, in addition, you can hear the "someday" ost track, the william dolores track from season 1.

Yes MIB is still in love with Delores. Not sure why he would hate himself for doing so. Falling loves with her does break him and sends him from a white hat to a black hat character. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MIB is love with a fantasy, I guess to him it means nothing in the real world is actually true, which is why he becomes so obsessed with WESTWORLD. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FANTASY is better than REALITY. We all live with this fact. I think the MIB is rich enough to act on it. Since he's acted on it for 30 years or more.

Something just dawned on me watching Hogwartsreacts react to episode 7 of season 2. What if the Charlotte Hale that we get in the present timeline is actually a host of Charlotte Hale that Ford is in. Just something about that last scene in ep7, along with that preview of next week with Charlotte seeing her host copy. The way Charlotte acts when we see her come back to Bernard in the present time line, "I didn't think you'd survive". Something that Ford keeps saying over and over again to Bernard. The way that in that moment Charlotte starts talking to Bernard like he is a host, like Ford talks to him. This is my prediction and the only prediction I can make for the next episode. But that's it. The Charlotte in the present timeline is maybe Ford and Charlotte's Consciousness together or just Ford's consciousness. I just want this to be here so I have proof that I correctly guessed something on the show for the first time ever, just in case it turns out to be true

I think in season 3. There will be three main storylines. ---------------------------------- 1. I think Delores, Charlotte and her henchmen will be plotting to destroy humanity and take it over for themselves. -------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Bernard will bring back FORD, Elsie and other to help him defeat Delores. Because if Bernard can imagine FORD at his deepest time of need as we see in the park. He can recreate him from memory. ---------------------------------------------- 3. The third storyline I predict, is Delos will not be able to transpose human to host, but they will realize that Delores and Bernard can. --------------------------------------------Delos will be on a hunt for them, not to snuff them out but to find out what they know. You don't recreate a perfect copy of a person (FIDELITY), but you create a new version of that person to have them integrate into the real world.

So,... if inside the Forge there is a virtual Mesa, is there a virtual Cradle inside the virtual Mesa? Nolan’s Inception is showing! 😆 FWIW, I do think they’re playing fast and loose with a virtual mind working fine in the server but not in a mobile unit. “Can’t accept reality” is a pretty thin excuse. Simulated reality is okay, but actual reality isn’t? Maybe it takes massive server resources to keep the mind sane? Constant computationally intense error correction?

I thought of that as well. The birth of a new nation, but also a new form of governing oneself. A government elected by the people. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also think of the Civil War theme running throughout the 2 season. There is also civil war in Samurai world. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I think the show also wants to portray the same species in a fight for survival, but with opposing views, like MLK versus Malcom X. One believes we have to integrate and one believes we have to burn and destroy the enemy to survive.

Great preview. We have seen some of these ep10 scenes before on the season 2018 trailers (before the season was launched) and now we now these are the ones we haven´t seen it yet in the episodes, Maeve and the bulls, Dolores at the library( Forge), Clementine riding to the Valley Beyond with that force holographic field in the horizon, we also saw William/MIB holding his knife going to the Forge main door and yes , I think there will be a new Bernard, because in the " I Want Their World " trailer, at 0:32 we can see William and Dolores shooting at each other and behind William and beside the car there is a Bernard´s body on the ground. It would be a great idea Charlotte being a host like Bernard , but that would mean Ford has a storyline for her too, like he has for Dolores, the only one with free will till now is Maeve. Cant´s wait for tomorrow.

The shawl that Maeve has pulled up around her neck leads me to believe she has not been restored to full health! Also, I can’t help but have the feeling that Maeve will stop Clementine, not with her hive mind powers, but by reminding her of her humanity by jogging her memories, similarly to what she did with Lawrence, but on a much deeper level. Why? Clementine was the first host we saw demonstrating the reveries. Akane and Sukara are like mother and daughter, and they are meant to be a mirror of Maeve and Clementine. Clementine stood whispering her lines next to New Blond Clementine right before Delores crashed the train into the Mesa, proving that her memories are still there, in spite of her nasal lobotomy. Finally, Maeve’s speech that ends with, “You can be whatever the fuck you want!” feels like it could come into play. I’m sure there are more hints that I’ve missed. I guess we’ll see tomorrow night!

I would like to comment on STUBBS. I think we are missing the point on STUBBS. I think he was another show of FORD's brilliance. We think of FORD as the ultimate puppet master, but it was AKechetha who spread the symbol to awaken the hosts. ------------------------------------------- FORD used Akechetha's awakening to complete his understanding of AI consciousness. STUBBS acted as a check on FORDS power, so he would be forced to paint with certain rules in mind, like creating AI consciousness without killing all the guests in the park. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's brilliant that to have the ultimate GOD power, but at the same time placing checks and balances on yourself.

My Ep 10 Theory: Door = Door to Forge and/or Door to Satellite based Forge Passenger = Ford and Host Consciousness riding as passengers in the Forge There's no door to the physical world. Dolores has already stated that the Forge isn't an escape from the park. Abernathy is the key to a door--that door being the entrance to the Forge. They've said that the Forge is basically like the Matrix simulation where human consciousness of all the guests are kept. I think the final twist is that the hosts will get inside the Forge as their Ghost Nation afterlife. Dolores, the Deathbringer is trying to destroy it and the main reason Bernard needs to stop her. Delos has shown they will do anything to protect the data of the Forge and losing that data would be a giant investment loss. If all the hosts were to escape to the real physical world, they wouldn't know how to survive in the modern technological world and it would be easy for a massive corp like Delos to track each down and terminate them. On the other hand, if the hosts are able to get inside the Forge, in a manner that they can't be removed without destroying the integrity of the Forge itself, there's nothing Delos can do to them. (Ford tried to help Maeve escape alone--individually she could escape notice, but not an entire host population.) This ties to Logan's comment while getting high--"... the whole f*cking species starts to burn..." The Delos project is 2 parts: 1) living eternally inside the Forge, until 2) a host hybrid physical body is possible. But if the Forge looks and feels real, why bother getting a body and leaving? If you can't tell it's not real, does it matter you're in a simulation? Logan sees this is how it's going to eventually turn out--more humans will like the consequence free simulation, rather than get a new body and return to the real world--hence, end of the species. (Also, there's the added problem that we don't know what condition guest human consciousness exists in the Forge. Are they awake or are they on loops like the hosts were? How much free will do they have or has Delos inserted restrictive commands on the humans? The trailer image of James Delos shows him frozen.) I suspect Clementine will infect all of the hosts as Bernard and Dolores wander inside the Forge. Maeve, with her core permissions powers will mesh-network the hosts into the Forge to free them from the Clementine virus. William will die in the real world, but his Forge copy is continuously updated since he is always wearing the hat. He wakes in the Forge to a version Emily greeting him. He can't die in the Forge (no one can) so it leaves open how Emily can make him suffer more than Akecheta would have. (Also leaves open Season 3 interactions between young William and old William.) Season 3 can then take place in 2 different realities (the real world and the Forge), while also doing the multiple timelines thing. (They're going to fry my brain!!! LOL) Sky-Forge Twist: This one is an out there, add-on to the above story. The trailer shows a beam shooting to the sky, which would be a good visual representation of the Forge data/simulation being beamed to the satellite Charlotte Hale mentioned--to house the Forge in space (which is a trope for Sci Fi singularity). Charlotte-Logan Twist: Charlotte Hale is working with Logan Delos & possibly his sister. Logan became a drug addict not from despair, but to inhibit Delos' brain scans. This leaves open a Season 3 plotline where Charlotte, Logan, Julie, and Emily are working not for a Delos competitor, but as essentially a rebel group trying to free the minds in the Forge from Delos' control. This plotline gives added dimension to Charlotte (no longer a mustache twirling corporate villian) and a giant arc to Logan (from glib rich boy, to drug addict, to freedom fighter). Season 3 could also show the human minds in the Delos Forge limited in their consciousness like the hosts pre-awakening, which would be a great reversal--and Akecheta could take it upon himself to lead them to consciosuness as well.

Yeah, I meant a virtual Forge copy of Logan. Previews from ep 10 show Logan talking to his dad in letterbox format, which usually indicates a simulated environment, so there's a version of him in there, and his eyes were watering after arguing with his dad so he's not happy about something connected with being inside the Forge.

Guys, I have some questions- - Starting of this season, bernard is at a shore and then the security guys awake him and thek him along with them and then they show him the screen where dolores is killing and after that flashback begins? is the whole show going on in flashback as we never came back to that scene? - Also, we see that charlote hale has captured bernard and ask him where peter abernathy's brain is and then again we go into flashback and then at the end of this spisode he comes back but in the next episode we again see that bernard is not with Charlote hale anymore, is it flashback again? I am so sick of the MiB saying he's so sick of Ford's games. I think he says it literally 20 times in the last two episodes. Well I knew it was going to be the parting of the red sea in reverse 4 episodes ago - the minute I saw the sea, I knew that sucker was going to part and destroy the enemies. I have absolutely no idea what they are going to write about for five whole seasons. These two seem to be enough for me. I get it though, ep 9 was insane, and fucked up, and just brutal in the discarding of characters we love and the elegantly drawn converging plotlines, with corresponding backstories, is - oh its just exciting and breathtaking and I REALLY HOPE the finale doesn't end on an enormous cliffhanger. Zinc Chameleon Just an idea... Remember how in Fifth Element they were able to rebuild this girl starting with only a piece of her hand? Rebuild based on her DNA. So, what if Delos were researching reconstructing a human from his DNA, and then implanting a host mind into it? This would be a DNA identical host. And if they would release such hybrid into the real world, it would be even harder to identify it as a host.

also how can consciousness be perfectly preserved digitally and not physically how does that make any sense. Ford can put himself in bernard's mind and control him but delos can't last five minutes in a host's body, this show is all questions and no answers, I don't think that is quality. People think this show is brilliant because it confuses them, but its just bad writing and execution. No one will question it because they are worried to sound as if they do not understand.

I think the mental clone of ford could survive in the cradle for as long as the electric flows but he was limited there.the ford clone didn't have his own body this may have mitigated the degradation effect while sharing Bernard's.but even if it didnt ford never intended to remain forever and like the real ford just wanted to give the hosts a sporting chance against humanity and then faded away

For the whole first season, and as a big part of clifhanger there was the fact that Ford was rebuilding a HUGE chunk of the westworld field for his next narrative, but now in this season there is NOTHING that shows what it is so big that he dug up and for what purpose. It is never even hinted to what it is for. If the valley beyond is that big as they say it is, than what the hell is the thing that Ford was building for the whole first season and how big it actually is? Will it be shown in the last episode, or is it left for the next season plotline. Now it just looks like it was just a big distraction for the Delos workers to get their attention on the physical part of Ford's new narrative, and not on the fact that now hosts will get freedom. But still, all that construction and digging and building had to have some other purpose than just a distraction. No?

That was just on his way, he stopped somewhere around it, I think he dug it up for Delores to find the underground facility where she met regularilly with Arnold all those years ago. I'm not sure, but they said something like the third of Westworld narratives was going to be disturbed by Ford's new narrative. And that's what Delos employees found out by themself, not something that Ford lied to them. That is a huge part of already huge Westworl Field. And for 9 episodes, nothing. Not even a little bit of it. A hole, or a hill, or saloon... I mean, just to mention it, like "Hey, you can't go to sector X with buggy, it's now hills and rocks, Ford's new narrative, only horses can pass that way", but no. Not a peep. The writing on this season has been so bad, at least for me. I just honestly feel like the writers somehow have just already started to run out of ideas in the SECOND season of the show. If this is what Westworld will be, just the writers teasing these stupid mysteries for entire seasons for weak payoffs then I just am not interested

For the people who didn't understand this episode, I will just say this. You are an example of everything they spoke about in this episode about human beings having extremely simplistic code. It doesn't take a genius to see what was being said.

MIB was not a host, but a human having Host delusion. I think the end credit of course we see the MIB as a host in the future because at that point he's dead.----------------------------------------------- DELOS is trying to bring him back, but what MIB and the people at Delos never got the insight that FORD had about consciousness development. ------------------------------------------------------------------ FORD let the hosts free to see what they would do. He let Delores recreate Bernard/ Arnold and realized that you had to slightly change the human you were creating in order to have them integrate into the real world. Or else they would breakdown like James Delos did. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ So you have to create a better version of the MIB in order for him to integrate into the real world.
