What you like and find enjoyment in is not limited by your age. The person that made that comment needs to reflect on the shortcomings of their own life and stop trying to bring down others. I'm 45 and still collect Transformers (just not as much as in my youth) and other things, and until 2017 was an avid comic collector. My friends and family all accept this, and it doesn't interfere with my ability to function in an adult capacity. You are adorable, and your collections allow you to exhibit your personality through your surroundings. I'm happy your channel has persevered, and I hope it continues to do so with all the craziness that may be happening in your life and the world around us.

Jen is the nerdiest treasure of them all! Never lose your inner-child or your appreciation for cartoons. I have fond memories of the original Ninja Turtles or as they were called in the UK and Ireland, where I live...the Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles, because the word "Ninja" had voilent connotations lol I still have original comic books and a complete coin collection! I grew up with the likes of Ulysses 31, Thundercats and Dungeons and Dragons. They were some awesome cartoons and they just don't make them like that any more.

05:24 In German, Charmander is called "Glumanda", probably a combination of the words "Glut" (Ember) and "Salamander" :) Thank you for this kind of videos! Even though your impressions of different characters are awesome - especially your facial expressions - I simply love videos you are just yourself talking about random stuff! ^^

In French, Charmander is Salamèche, from salamandre (salamander) and mèche (wick).

weird thing is, the netherlands just uses the english names. we got no dutch name for a pokemon, it is just pronounced in a dutch accent kinda way

Ok, people who tell creators that “they’re not for them anymore” need to chill. The world doesn’t revolve around their likes and enjoyment. I absolutely love all your content Jen, but I don’t always watch everything. For example, I’ve never seen Naruto and never wanted to start watching (I know it’s outrageous), so some of the videos aren’t for me, but that doesn’t mean I’m just gonna drop the channel because there are some videos I don’t understand or watch. It's my experience that when ASMR-tists do "show and tell" type videos, the dialog is more natural, relaxed and calming. My trigger is mostly artist's voices. So those videos I usually prefer. But that's just me, and I can just listen my favorite videos of yours over and over if I like. You're doing a great job, thank you for your service!

Close! A "complication" is something that makes things more complicated... Which means more complex in a confusing or difficult way. I think you mean "compilation," which is a bunch of things that have something in common put in one place. As for book reviews, what books do you like! If you like fantasy, I'd recommend something out of Sanderson's Cosmere collection, which has a few adult fantasy series in it. There's no explicit sex scenes in them, which is a boon for many who find them largely unnecessary, and they depict wonderful tales in intricate worlds. The prose (style of writing) is fairly simple, which makes it better for a non-native speaker. Sanderson is my favorite author.

I also never understood the hate in collecting things that you like- I can now “afford” to buy the things I like. I love the nightmare before Christmas, and Star Wars and while collecting those things aren’t “taboo” I LOVE the little toys some kids now are liking, the calico critters are adorable so I’ve picked up a few, as well as the ‘lost kitties’.. although I don’t care for the play doh they come with. 🤣 the shopkins that resemble food are adorable to me too. You never truly grow up, and embrace it. It’s a hobby that doesn’t hurt anyone, and it’s actually good for you to “play” or be able to get back to that innocent happiness of toys once in a while, it’s relaxing and I get excited to pick up an item every once in a while.. especially when they’re cute lil characters ❤️

Perfect video. I saw it pop up and looked forward to settling on the sofa with a coffee. Every video you make is super relaxing, I dont get 90% of the roleplay ones as Im not into anymays or mangos, but the point is they are still relaxing. And if you dont like a video...pick one of the 100s of others you make. Theres a big variety to choose from. And yes I agree. Be yourself. There is no time or age limit on liking things, even cartoons. Im knocking on 40 but will choose an action figure to add to my collection over something boring like...i dont even know what "grown ups" collect? Corks from wine bottles and live laugh love signs? Also I will say this everytime you mention him...forever jealous you met Spike! Stay nerdy.

I have a very small collection of POP figures I recently started and I'm turning 45 this year. William Wallace, Darth Vader and Sailor Mercury (I'll be adding Hans Gruber and B.A. Baracus (with the A-Team van) if I can fin one with a box in good condition . I still have a large collection of Sailor Moon items (featuring Mercury, of course) and a large collection of Final Fantasy memorabilia, including a huge assortment of Triple Triad cards and action figures- everything from Sephiroth to Odin and Bahamut.Then there's the D&D cards and Comic collection. Literally, I've kept everything from my youth, because I earned it myself it has far more value to me as a collection than it would to anyone else.

I grew up watching Thunderbirds when they had their resurgence in the 90s. My Mam watched it in the 60s. She had such a huge crush on Scott. My grandparents took her to see the puppets on a tour and she broke down in tears because he wasn’t real 😂

About the Pokémon names; they don't have different names in every language! As far as I know, there's the Japanese names, the French names, and the English ones. Every country that isn't France basically uses the English variants. (Even Russia just uses transcriptions of the English names!) Hope you found this interesting.
