First of all: she ended up amazing! I envy your sculpting skills and the paint job is also flawless. I just saw one mistake. If you are shrinking the head you only soak it in the acetone for 2, max 3h (and let it dry for 24). This is called a fast shrinking method and it is recommended only when you just don't have time for the slow method. Slow shrinking method is when you soak your head for 48h and let it dry for the next 48. BUT! In slow shrinking method you use acetone SOLUTION, not a pure aceton. 9parts of aceton and 1part of water. Pure aceton can destroy or deform your head(just what happened to you) and that is why you only use it for a quick soak. If you already have four days for head shrinking - use the aceton and water solution. No deformations and no tears on your head -guarantied. Trust me - I am shrinking heads on all of my doll figurines :)

Finally Malenia is ready and I must say that the result is truly a joy for the eyes. You know, Emily, the thing I like most about you and your dolls is that there is clearly a real passion for what you do, and each subsequent job is more complex and refined than the previous one. Malenia is my favorite Elden ring boss, I love her design, her story, her elegant way of fighting and her voice. She is one of the most beautiful characters created by From Software, and your doll is a beautiful interpretation of the original. I admire your talent. Keep it up 😉

This is amazing to watch and she’s so beautifully creates.Every single part of her has had so much love and attention put into her.I guesstimate it’s taken well into 100 hrs to creat this one.And I am for one glad to see all your amazing skills come into action in this Art Doll.you changed her face completely with cutting and shaving down parts you did not want prominent.That’s no easy job.Your sculpting was seamless and it looked as if she was always that way.The clothes and helmet were made beautiful and the patina effect on the helmet and sword was perfect.She’s a perfect example of an Art doll.One criticism I have .You forgot to put knickers on her.if you could not make any a short skirt under it would have covered up the gap.You made everything else realistic and I am sure the actress or cartoon had knickers(pants,underwear on) But she’s gorgeous non the less .I love her 🥰

When people say: you should concentrate on one thing….As if it is a choice…I am just like you, a Jack of all trades. We are so curious about the world around us, that we could never only do one thing. I dont want to feel limited by only doing fx coloured pencils. No, i need to learn new things all the time. It is not a choice, it is just the way we work.♥️
@DollAfterlife9 ай бұрын
I agree with you 100%! I also think that it's our super power, because if one thing won't work out for us, we can easily switch to any of the other things we learned 💅🏻💅🏻💅🏻 in the modern day society being flexible is definitely a strength! Also limitations destroy creativity. If we want to create something great we need to explore and experiment. 👍🏻

I think saying that prefecting one skill is "boring" isn't something really fair to people who actuall do this. There are artisans and craftsmen who become masters in a specific skill and it's just as wonderful and creative as having a wide array of skills. Which, BTW, is amazing to have when making doll customisations - you certainly are masterful in it, but never look down on people who decide to master just one thing.
