Nerf Goodwill Hunt - Summer 2018

It seems that a majority of the Goodwill Nerf guns end up in your area, as the last time I went to my Goodwill, there was neither a single bloody sausage or a Petridge Farm Cake.

Goodwills in my area put all the Nerf guns in the auction case. Yeah, I'll throw a $25 bid, that won't go far, for the Hyperfire with its drum, but I'm less interested in the Deploy, the Mega bow thing and 6 other blasters in the lot. I just want the one blaster!

Wait, are you seriously saying you get multiple comments about the SAME blaster in the same video? I've always seen the Vulcans you pass in Goodwill. But hey, I guess I'm one of the few who actually watched your workshop tour where you DELIBERATELY showed off the Vulcan section. I found the scene at the end hilarious. Anyways I love these videos as always. I've always been a huge Walcom fan, so of course I subbed without even batting an eye when the two of you went over your armor, bazooka, and drain blaster shotguns on his channel. Amazing. You are and will always be at the top of my Nerf KZbinr list. Keep up the good work and I'll always be a fan.

YOWZA, that's a lot of Vulcans. I only have the one, and I don't even want it anymore. I'll probably find the ol' girl a good home or trade it for something else, but yeah... I wouldn't have gotten the Vulcan either. ...I kinda wish I'd held out for the Stampede when it was new.

I’m at the point now that I skip over blasters at my various thrift shops because it’s gotten out of hand for me. I did thrift the elusive fearless fire though, finally! Love the vids.

I'd definitely like to see the no-name green blaster featured in an episode at some point. I found one of those at a local thrift store except that mine is white. The catch will not support any real spring upgrades, but the barrel is as tight as a 17/32" brass barrel and it shoots pretty darn hard! That and dart storage on the blaster, it was well worth the $1 I paid for it. But, exactly like yours, not a single manufacturers marking or country of origin... super weird... Love your channel, Cap!

The mini catapult launched plastic bugs and was sold (although I think the colors were different) by Archie Mcphee, a Seattle icon that's been around since I lived in the area as a child I hope you've been to (because it's awesome). But it catapulted little plastic bugs, I've seen a similar one repackaged at a couple of natureish stores and museum shops.

It’d be cool to create a modular proton pack for Tyr that you could just drop into any bag with the hose and have it draw ammo from. It’s probably almost impossible, but it’d be a neat thing to see attempted in the future

The majik crossbow can be found on ebay or walmart the bow fires arrows and can be attached or used independently

I've only recently thrifted for Nerf blasters because I'm inspired by your videos (among others). What's your take on "rarer" variants of blasters such as the crimson Vulcan and the sonic green Deploy? I've seen both when I was thrifting and now I'm kinda regretting not purchasing them... then again, I purchased a sonic green Barricade, and that I regret, lol. Anyway, very entertaining and educational videos. Consider me subscribed!

They are all within a 10-15 mile radius of my house. The longest hop is 20mins. The whole loop took about 4 hours.

Question for the viewers. Do your local goodwills put their toys on shelves? I don't know if I have ever seen any of my goodwills put the toys of shelves like these. They are either all tossed into a large bin/bins (kinda of like an outlet), or placed on top of the clothing racks. In the video all of the goodwill toy sections look the same (more or less), but every goodwill I go to has been different in terms of toy placement.

I wouldn't pay $2 for a Sidewinder, let alone $10. I've got two of them and a variety of rude four-letter words describe my experience. A seller let me have one for free because it refused to fire Elites. I think they were too thick for the barrels. My most recent Nerf thrifts are a Speedswarm, an original Strongarm and a tiny pouch that seems almost the exact size for a single Sledgefire shell.

I don’t really do nerf that much, but when I was messing around with my brother, we cut down 3 need darts to the core (as much as you can without cutting the hard parts) then we loaded a normal dart into the mag and 3 of the mini darts (not sure if they qualify as Stephan) into the barrel of a hyper fire and shot it, what came out was a 4 pellet “shotgun” effect and was wondering if someone has done this before, and was also wondering if it is possible to load that into a springer that was modded for a strong spring (like a k26) but with just the 3 cut down darts in the mag which would cause it to have more range, anyway just wanted your thoughts

Yes, using cut darts a shotgun rounds is well known. Though I have never heard of anyone doing it in a hyperfire. That is pretty cool. It is normally done in springers. It is a simply mod, just remove the dart peg.

Captain Xavier hyper fire was the only working blaster I had on hand, but I never seen anyone do like a KZbin vid or anything online with it, what’s up with that? I have an old Vulacn in my closet, the it still kinda sorta works but I lost the battery tray a long time ago and it's not like it needs it any way. Would kinda like to fix it but don't really care enough to do it since I've never been super big into nerf, mostly culause I ahte having to find all the darts aftarwards and they get all beat up super fast and it's just not worth it to me, it's still fun just not something I've ever done very seriously or often.

Because it didn't fire anything. If it had been a dart blaster I would have gotten it. But if it is for a prop I would want it in the correct colors and scale (it was small)
