I am aware that it is a "Chicken Chucker." Or a "Pig Chucker," "Spider Chucker," Baby Chucker," "Ninja Chucker," or whatever other random ammo they packaged it where you are from. Check the comments...this has been pointed out about a dozen times... :D

Captain Xavier I would be so irritatingly mad, cause I'm wanting to start getting into both nerf and modding nerf guns, and project #1 would be a gun blade like walcom did(which that was the base blaster) however the one I'm wanting to make the most is THE SABRE from xenoblade chronicles because it's also a gunblade

q.j 500 I know right if I did that I will be grounded for a life time.( Not really a "life time" but I was grounded for something (don't remember) for 2 whole months and every day I have to write I will not (something also don't remember) 50 times every day and if I forget one a whole week will be added to the ground thing.(note I was only grounded once in my life and my parents are pretty cool and I guess what I did was horrible and I probably deserve it)

The trick is you have to go often. When I lived in a town with only one sad and tragic Goodwill (back before I had a channel) I went every day during my lunch hour and maybe once a week I would find something.

The "Skittle catapult" is a toy fly launcher. My brother and I had fun with those, timing when and at what angle to launch the flies. good physics prediction practice.

The few times I've been to a Goodwill, They have never had nerf blasters.Did get a broken Airsoft AK out of one though, and am in the process of making it look as... "Rebel" (Read that as "Extremely Janky") as possible and fixing. It was already broken anyway, so even if I can't fix it, it'll be an interesting prop.

Next time you see a Tommy Twenty, please check the flywheels. If they're concave foam, you're in business. Those flywheels outperform anything else on the market. They grip *anything*. The stock motors are also pretty impressive.

The catapult originaly had a chicken projectile. I believe it was packaged as a chicken trebuchet. I also think there was a counterpart called the cat-apult.

I continued the not getting that Vulcan thing few days ago after my mom wouldn’t let me get it. Edit: a tip always be careful when you find a mag in goodwill because I also found an 18 dart mag but it had sticky white stuff on it. You said about a small town goodwill that restocks a gun a week, I got lucky to find around 10. Usually it is like 2 random, jammed buzz bee guns.

The little yellow and red catapult originally launched little plastic chickens that look like the rubber chickens that sqeek. I have one but it broke because I dry fired it about 10 thousand times because I found the sound of it oddly satisfing.

that tiny yellow gun around the 13 minute mark is called a baby launcher. it originally shot little babies about 1/2 of an inch long and I'm sure you can find one on eBay or amazon somewhere

I have that balck revolver thing at 6:07. It came with a sharper image dart set target thing I got for christmas. both the target and the blaster itself are absolutely dreadful. I think if you featured it on "can it take a k26" it would be one of those blasters that has such a god awful dart fit that all the air just goes AROUND the dart and doesn't even launch

Hey dude, so I found one of those hand crossbows (the orange one you found) and was working on modifying it myself for a friend. I found that a half inch PVC tube friction fit pretty well into the dart tube, after cutting out the X-shaped dart stop that it already has. I cut the PVC at the back end to give a path for the string. It fires ok, but obviously the darts will fall out if it is tipped forward. I'm curious if you are able to come up with a better build from it. Great vids btw, keep it up!

not a monster at all. i wish we had such good finds here in portland oregon. i may go to several goodwills before finding a maverick. sometimes i get lucky and one will have three or four and unlike you i happily clean them out. ive only been nerf thrifting for maybe six months and have about 50 recycled blasters to play around with and try to mod. i dont feel as bad if i break or destroy a thrifted blaste

Thanks for taking the time to film your picking process I, like many enjoy your recent breakdown of the hobby (Monday mod tips, QA vids, good will runs), and seeing these types of videos gives me confidence to do my own stuff and to introduce others into the hobby. Picking is something that is completely individual, so I hope people watching understand where your coming from when you explain what your doing. Just a couple of things id like to say otherwise: -If you had to put together a toolkit for modding from scratch AS A YOUNG PERSON (prolly 8-18)What would it consist of? I know most kids cant use power tools but can get parental help for the most part, it'd be interesting to see. Also what tools do you have now that you NEVER thought you'd use for modding? -If your not subbed to Capt's other channel for story time your missing out. GO SUB NOW. Its so nice for you to share your experiences I cant get enough of it.
