I main double Kung Lao, Kung Lao kameo for the low hat, u can go with an overhead and a delayed low hat together. and what I found funny is if u dive kick right in front of ur opponent while they're blocking and not hitting them, lots of them will try to punish u and it's safe for most of the times for a back 24 launcher and leads to a full combo. The command grab also has a really good range

Tip: When you do the overhead, you actually don’t have to use Goro because you can do his command grab after the overhead and follow up. :)

As a General Shao main, no frost is not normal. Also, when Shao doesn’t have the axe almost all his moves are very plus, ya gotta block that pressure and wait until he gets the axe back to counterattack!

I love how in Kung Laos fatal blow, his stance before his kameo rushes to hit the opponent is the same stance as Shujinko in Mortal Kombat deception. Anyone else see that for a brief second?

It is actually Kung Lao’s Shaolin Fist style from Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance, which later became Shujinko’s in Deception :D

Reiko is as well super good at the guessing game and maybe even bettter than Kung lao for these reasons: Overhead = Safe (no kameo) Sweep = +6 (I think, either way +) AND a command grab?! My best Kameo for him i'd say is Sareena as the bumper move just drains meter as your keeping them on the floor lmao. Edit: down 4 is also safe if they try to attack out of sweep or back 2 (back 2 is also super + for if they try to attack)

Hey, fellow kung lao learner here (i only have two hours on him and only in training), im here to give you some advice (i dont know what im talking about) Ok so for starters: Kung lao is great at keeping the opponente in the air, this can also be extended by kameos, so far the ones that i feel more comfortable are SONYA, GORO, FROST(NOT SO MUCH THO) AND DARIUS (YES DARIUS) although darius requieres a lot of precise timing but the "resets" are real, second of all you can special cancel the hat overhead into throwing the hat (the saw version of it) and if you spend kameo (sonya is better for this the others requiere a lot of timing) you get a small chance to get a combo of square and triangle (i forgot the tecnicall names "1234") and then into the kung tunsion amp and then follow from them, it works better and without assist in the corner and its actually better from there since you can get up to 37 percent combo one bar, Another tip is shaolin spinnis SO useful, aside from being great at ending combos, it really is a life saver, it can tank a quite handfull of attacks and its an excellent rush down move, Also his forward square is the fastest move in the game (i i think) so fell free tonuse that info for trading, You can start an air combo even if the opponent is in the ground, but it has to be the kicks string and then you can amp the falling kick and get a good combo. If your in the corner dont end combos with kun tusion, id your not then do it does more damage than it looks. USE HIS MOVILITIE, each time my friends play kung lao they stay in rhe ground, do fly around the arena but not much since you become and easy target, but by all means move around confuse the enemy and then hit them with a low or overhead (remember if you spend assist and hit the hat you can get a combi out of it). Altough some of hes strings are unsafe (not much as in mk11 tho) there are some that can be special cancel into the upward kick even if blocked, why do u say this? Becuase is a good way if getting away if the opponent tries to punish. And that gonna be it friends(im so fucking stupid i should first understand the mechanics before giving advice) I know that this are very basic and maybe not so useful or optimal but, i hope it at least help even if it wasnt much, feel free to criticize, correct, insult (if you can do it in a respectful way, better) and if you are a more experienced player, pls leave some advice, i am also learning too. 👍 seems like you are on the right track and correct in your advice. Reason for Goro is mostly he makes the overhead plus and safe. Doing the overhead into a special you can interrupt after blocking the overhead everytime (I think) because there is a gap. Goro removes the gap because he is an ambush assist (can call at any time).

Literally every Mortal Kombat has mixups, this can be Throw/Hit, this can be number of hit mix, this can be overhead/low mix, this can be Stagger Mix, this can be frame traps or kameo pressure.
