Wow, I am dismayed by the lack of accuracy here. Yours is not my only example; lots of folks on subreddit r/nerf are coming back with similar issues. Now, Naptown Nerf on his channel was thrilled with his, so. . .. .my brother, I'm thinking that the unique loading system here (where the barrel rotates up on the prime) may be the root of the issue. Is this the Atlas V2.0? I for one am unconvinced, but that being said, MEGA SUPER-SAIYAN KUDOS for this video, my friend, I shall always value your input and experience with the new hotness. I put a sniper scope on the side rail and for me it's pretty accurate and I can consistently hit at like 60 feet but you have to hold it perfectly to do so.

Awesome review! I really wanted to get this blaster as I like the form factor a lot and it's the configuration that I have been waiting for (pump action, top-loading magazine, comfortable stock that you can shoulder). I just worry about the accuracy as seen in your demo as I like to use my blasters for target shooting (I have a Helios and that one is fairly accurate at around 25 feet). I hope you can make a follow-up video as I really wanted to get the Hypnos. Thanks!

I am a hypnos fan as well --- if you like accuracy grab the hera it does not have some of your other requirements but it is super accurate !

That front slide mount looks really awkward. I wonder why they didn't just have a continuous slide rail across the top. A foregrip would have also been nice. Other than that, it looks pretty cool. Love the fold out stock.

Okay, just got done watching Coop's review on this blaster and he's having some issues with the loading mech, too. Because the round for each shot is picked up by the firing tube on the very last portion of the backward prime stroke, the performance could suffer in a rapid-fire situation. I found a similar issue with the Atlas, but on the forward prime stroke. Unless I was holding the prime handle fully forward, and with one or two pounds extra forward pressure, the barrel/plunger tube would not seal properly, leading to underpowered shots.

In Coop's words "under perfect firing conditions," you get the expected fps performance. In actual play, however, the mechanics involved allow the operator to make mistakes that lead to poor blaster performance.

Sorry to go on this long , but I do it only because when I first saw it leaked, the Hypnos looked SO GOOD and I wanted it to be a true, if single-shot, successor to the Atlas, and for Hasbro to improve on the mechanical design. If only they had engineered an additional lock that forced the user to fully prime every time, then these instances of dry-fire/short distance performance could be avoided.

Hey good review! Thanks for the look at the internals. It doesn't look too tough. I can see how to get to the plunger tube and it's big. 13-15 coils of K26 and a padded plunger head should make a nice improvement to this blaster. I would prefer a Phantom Corps one and I'll bet that happens sometime!

Okay, my friend, I know I've gone at length about my disappointment with the Hypnos' feed mechanism issues. However, I re-watched Coop's video on the Hades, and he expressed a similar issue there where the blaster fails to load properly, like the Hypnos, if the operator does not fully prime each time. I have experienced this myself with the Hades. In reflection of this information, I am officially dialing BACK my level of disappointment. This particular issue is no longer a deal-breaker to me. The operator simply has to learn the blaster a little more, which is no different than someone familiar with an American M-16 having to learn the subtle differences of the Soviet AK series. I'm much more on-board with the Hypnos, now. All Love, Big Guy!

mine is perfectly fine on accuracy, gotta fix your aim bro. If you place your cursor over the tip of the barrel for one shot you can see the different aim for every single shot.

Would have hoped for a dialed up double barrel Atlas using two mags and flingin Four balls at once something to Take it up a notch, Hypnos just feels like diluted milk. thats quite rubbish for a rival blaster imo, might actually get better accuracy with elites. like the fold stock though.

Not accurate, takes external mags, uses gears so you can't mod the spring very much, I would much prefer a helios over this for $20, if this gun goes down to $20-25 then it might be worth picking up for the heck of it but I do really appreciate the folding stock and bottom prime
