hey man, just an fyi, you shouldn't be wearing gloves when using tools like that. It's great for stopping yourself from getting cuts, but if the bit grabs hold of the glove it'll crush you're whole hand. Only mention it as I've seen in happen in person. A few cuts are easier to handle then crushing all the bones in your hand. (this is only for tools like this with rotating parts, not saying you shouldn't wear gloves ever)

Nice! good to see you show a little more of the steps in detail now. If it were up to me you could show even more of the "boring" work. Less editing for you and tho it might seem boring to watch, for some reason it isn't. I like these diy videos because they have a strangely relaxing effect on me, kinda hypnotizing almost. I dunno. I'm very likely very weird. Btw, couple of noob questions: what does the air restrictor do and why does it have to go? And why do you brass the barrel? Is it smoother than the plastic or something? Oh, and don't wear gloves when operating rotating power tools, kids! They can get caught and hurt you even worse because you can't pull away. ;)
@CaptainXavier7 жыл бұрын
I will keep that in mind during my next video. I hope to do one tonight actually. The AR is there to protect the blaster in the event of dry firing. It creates an air seal that cushions the plunger head and keeps it from slamming into the end of the plunger tube. Useful in a kids toy as they do not understand not to dry fire it. However, this also cuts down on the power of the blaster as the AR kicks in before the dart has left the barrel. The brass barrel is there because Nerf barrels are slightly tapered and thus do not have a perfect seal for their whole length. The brass tube does so once again it adds a bit more power. A few people have pointed the glove thing out. Thanks for reminding me.

I have considered it. I am starting to dabble in micro-controllers. I do have a CS degree after all...and I took Real Time Operating systems...I just need to learn the Arduino syntax and start tinkering. @CaptainXavier2 жыл бұрын
@@gusflynn6424 no, 17/32 is too tight a fit for an inline clip. With inline clips most of the barrel needs to be loose while only the end of the barrel is tight. That is how they work. Only the first dart seals on the tight part of the barrel while the air passes around the other darts in the loose part.
