Shorter darts are also lighter and might just fly a bit further, if you want to keep the spread you could cut elites in half instead of using the accurate halfdarts

Question: on the scale of 1 to 10 how hard is it to mod/take apart To give a comparison rank the centuriun as well

This one is not too tough at all really, I would say for me it was a 4, the Centurion on the other hand is considered un-moddable by many people, like the Deploy it's a tough nut too crack. Of course those difficulties are based on my own experience, if you are new to modding, I would say that the Trilogy should not be your first blaster. This takes brass very well after spring work is done. It really brings the work out.

You can put two short darts in the shell with that mod, making it shoot six darts instead of three.

you can, but the front ones will be very loose in the shell and probably fall out if you point it downward. Nerf Shells\Cylinders actually taper quite a bit, if you load one up notice that the dart really only starts to get snug in the last 1/3 or so. All that said you can fix the issue by Brassing your Shells.

Instead of replacing the spring, how about adding a spacer in the front or back of the original spring to yield more pre-load, so that the spring shoots harder? Maybe 1/2" thick spacer.

You could try it, but compression is definitely a concern with this blaster.

It the De-Prime button, It overrides the lock that won't allow you to open the breech when the blaster has been primed.

Project Nerf I was thinking about maybe somehow replacing the plastic thing that connects the pump grip to the rest of it with something that allows more room underneath the loading chamber and then implementing some sort of internal magazine or something, but maybe that wouldn’t work

Would be a ton of work. You would have to custom build a carrier to lift the new shell up and in.

I would be very careful about that, Trilogy has very complicated internals and too much spring is bound to cause you issues.

Hey mate, Any idea where I’d get an extension spring from? Mine disintegrated so I can’t load shells any more!!

It's pretty small, you maybe can rob one from an old hammershot if you've got one in the bin. If not there are lots of variety packs for sale on ebay and amazon, might take a look there....................... Chris

How many coils did you cut your k26 to?

didn't count them just made it close to the same length as the stock spring.

You can grab K26 from OutofDarts.com. To cut it to length you can use a small bolt cutter or a dremel with a cutting wheel. To open the blaster a #2 Philips screwdriver will do fine.......................... Chris

I didn't measure the spring I cut for it. I just counted the coils on the stock spring and added about 1 & 1/2 coils to the length. You might could squeeze a little more than that but I don't think so. It's right at the point of it not catching if you went any longer..................... Chris
