I was referred to here by one of my fans (Homelee665) when I did my unboxing video of the Nerf Trilogy on my channel and mentioned that I'd be modding it up. I plan to make a tube mag that feeds from the rear at a ever so slight incline (for gravity feeding) and also to mount a ammo box on the right side to catch the ejected shells for easier reloading instead of chasing them all around. Neat to see your janky but completely workable design here!

That's going to be one of my next projects. The Havokfire ammo boxes will be perfect because of their opening lids. I almost used one for the hopper to begin with...

Honestly, this looks pretty good. For a carboard mockup it's not bad. With a bit of finetuning and some 3D-printing this should work just fine.

I had a similar idea with an extended tube towards with back with a pvc pipe as the slide tube. With a spring catch at the back of the tube, the shells are pushed forward instead of just relying on gravity to prime the next shell.

Drac did something like this back in the day for the Vortex Proton. I imagine the geometry of a Trilogy shell makes this more complicated This looks a little clunky, but reasonably effective

If it were precision engineered, I think it would be spot on! It certainly reduces reload times by 1/x and could potentially increase carrying capacity.

i was thinking a better way would be a piece of pvc slightly larger than the shells with a spring like a real shotgun mag tube, but it drops shells rather than injects from the bottom.

I'm still in the design phase of working out where and how it would fit so it's not blocking any screws but some tests on how it'll be pushed in from the top have worked
