Yes, my Blazers are linked as the most possible/realistic trade scenario. Allen Crabbe for Nerlens Noel. Blazers have the talent and scoring offensively. They desperately need a difference maker defensively and Noel provides just that. 76ers would get a young established shooting guard who is a two way player with potential left to be discovered. 76ers also really wanted Allen Crabbe in free agency. Now they'll have him locked up for 4 more seasons. Something to build around.

Actually, what they want, according to the rumors I've heard, is Evan Turner. Which is alright with me. But....Noel for CJ? Oh boy.....dunno if I'm comfortable with that......

#Celtics making a move for Noel, I don't think would be a bad move. His D, and game reminds me of a young KG, and Tyson Chandler. I think he would be an upgrade at the 5, especially defensively, and is not a bad rebounder. His offense needs some work, yet that could improve over time. KG did not have much of a jumper when he first came into the league, and was rail thin too. He does need to keep putting on more muscle, and his injuries are a concern.

Fallenxmembers MCW is a turnover machine that was shooting like 29% from the field when we traded him. I hope it does though, I have nothing against the guy, but I'll take a first round pick for an under developed guard any day.

#NoelToPortland!
@Eastra38 жыл бұрын
Funny thing is, Portland has like 3 guys similar that are 'garbage men' type bigs, and Portland doesn't use them for any scoring production. Vonleh, Plumlee, and Davis could all get more touches, but they let Lillard and McCollum both put up 20+ shots a night. Portland needs an inside presence in order to become a balanced team, like when they had Lamarcus, and maybe Vonleh, a lotto pick, could become that, but their bigs will never develop into great players with the 2 guards getting most of the action alone. Portland would waste Noel's potential.
@Vladpryde8 жыл бұрын
"Funny thing is, Portland has like 3 guys similar that are 'garbage men' type bigs, and Portland doesn't use them for any scoring production." That's because they really are garbage men, like you said. Noel would be an automatic starter, and would be a HUGE upgrade over, say, Plumlee as our starting Center (he belongs at PF anyways). I can't see Portland wasting Noel's potential. In fact, with respect, that's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. He'd be getting the ball constantly, both on rebounds and assists.
@Eastra38 жыл бұрын
Vladpryde Dumbest things you ever hear eh? You telling me that Portland wouldn't waste his talent, while they are currently wasting away any big man they have that can't play like a guard? Vonleh was a high draft pick that hasn't gotten a chance to develop in Charlotte, nor Portland, and before you say anything derogatory of him, recall that Aldridge was in the same boat, but in a boat that was half sunk. Vonleh should be a building block, and giving Lillard and McCullum 20-25 shots per game EACH, doesn't leave room for any other player to develop into anything more than a role player. That is FACT. Maybe if Lillard was more of a passer, I'd agree that Noel would be able to make a name for himself, like a Deandre at best, around 14 rebounds, 12 points, and 2.5 blocks per game. However, Vonleh has potential to be a 20-10 guy, and they are leaving him to rot. So RATIONAL says look at what Portland is doing with young bigs that have just as much talent, so what do you think they are going to do with another similar big. I don't know how good you think Noel is offensively, but I can assure you he's no better than the bigs you already have. He does however seem to have a high defensive ceiling, but the Trailblazers were one of the top defensive units last year, in the second half I think they were the best. Offensively, they are inconsistent, because they don't have an inside game to counter punch with their outside game; not since Aldridge left. Lillard is a very good player, but Portland's offense is ugly to watch, because even when it's cooking, you know it's not due to coaching and schematics, and Noel isn't going to solve that.
@Vladpryde8 жыл бұрын
Eastra3 What the hell? If it's not your lack of paragraphs, it's comparing Vonleh to Noel....two completely different players with completely different skills sets. That's like comparing Moe Harkless to DeAndre Jordan. Give me a break! A far better comparison would be Noel to Leonard....and I can strait up tell you that Noel would be a HUGE HUGE HUGE upgrade to Meyers "How's My Hair" Leonard. "so what do you think they are going to do with another similar big." Well, if they were smart, they'd trade Meyers, move Mason Plumlee to PF, with Vonleh coming off the bench, and start Noel at Center with Ed Davis on the bench. Or a combination therein of whatever works best. One thing's for absolute certain: Noel starting at Center is what's best for everyone in Portland, and will make the Blazers far better than they are currently. And that's not even be up for debate. "and before you say anything derogatory of him, recall that Aldridge was in the same boat, but in a boat that was half sunk." Firstly, I don't know where you get off thinking I would trash Vonleh: I like the guy, and I agree that his potential is huge. He's VERY young, so he's still developing. And he's getting good playing time in this season; right on course. Your fault with Aldridge is not acknowledging the sheer amount of work he put in early in his career, after getting bullied around on the court by other Power Forwards. He put on 41 pounds....*41 POUNDS*....of muscle in *ONE* season, and then practiced relentlessly and perfected his craft. Something which Vonleh has not done. Neither has Meyers, and neither has Plumlee. Trying to compare the two cases of one of the best Power Forwards in the league to that of Vonleh is asinine and ridiculous, because you are ignoring the work that Aldridge put in to get that good, and then assuming that Vonleh can be just like that. Well, he can't if he doesn't have that kind of relentless drive that Aldridge did. "So RATIONAL says look at what Portland is doing with young bigs that have just as much talent" LMFAO, that's hilarious. There is NO big on Portland who has the same talent as Noel. None. Not even close. Ed Davis is okay, but he's very small for a Center. "He does however seem to have a high defensive ceiling," Which is what we desperately need. "but the Trailblazers were one of the top defensive units last year, in the second half I think they were the best." LMAO, not even close. We were middle-of-the-road defensively at our best (our Offense is what kept us competitive), and just plain bad at our worst. All thanks to a lack of a paint-dominating, Defensive Big with decent skills. And Coach Stott's game plan caught the league by surprise (which is something the league has caught up with this season). Nothing more. "Offensively, they are inconsistent, because they don't have an inside game to counter punch with their outside game; not since Aldridge left. Lillard is a very good player, but Portland's offense is ugly to watch, because even when it's cooking, you know it's not due to coaching and schematics, and Noel isn't going to solve that." I agree and disagree with this. I agree to a point about our Offense. I disagree that Noel wouldn't help. Because his presence in the paint would allow far more opportunities to score with second-chance points off of rebounds, and making Defenses focus on his presence in the paint would allow easier shots for Dame and CJ on the outside. Whereas right now, a Center or PF can come up and double either one of them at the 3 point line, and there's nobody in the paint to help them out. I think Noel would drastically change that. Overall, you're pretty much wrong about all of this. But I appreciate your thoughts and viewpoints on the matter nonetheless.
@Eastra38 жыл бұрын
Vladpryde If I'm comparing Noel and Vonleh in terms of young talent, that doesn't mean because I think their talent is similar, I think their game is similar. I know they are nothing alike in style. So I don't know where you got the notion I was connecting similarities in anything but young talent. Every great player puts in work, so that goes without saying. Vonleh won't reach his potential without hard work. I don't know why you even brought hard work into this. That's just a given, as was never being disputed. Just like Aldridge eventually decided to put in the work, Vonleh may do that as well, who knows; he's too young to say for sure. I stand corrected on the matter of Portland's defensive standings. I was wrong. I think Ed and Vonleh (didn't you guys have Kaman at one time lol) are being underutilized, because the Trailblazers are trying to play copycat to the Warriors, and so they tend to be looking for shooters at the big man position, rather than a paint presence, which I agree Noel can give, but I fear they will misuse him too. I'm not saying Noel wouldn't be a good pick-up, I'm just saying he's not an optimal pick-up. Noel is a good player, but for him to work, Lillard has to change his game, and be more of a floor general. So all in all, I agree with you that Noel is good, and would help you team. We just disagree on whether your coach will optimize him.....to summarize up all our paragraphs lol
