90% of enemy attacks as well as projectiles can be parried. Just time it perfectly especially if you block enemy attacks using nico's devil breakers. Fun fact. You can parry cavalier angelo's enchanced basic attacks using tomboy's activation animation

I love how Nero deals with the doppelganger phase. After all the trouble it gives you in mission 19, Nero can just grab it and forcefully shove it back inside Vergil

Oh definitely. If you watch the way V reacts to either of them being hurt, it's clear that he cares for them a lot but just doesn't show it as Vergil (in my opinion anyways)

Well, in mission 19 when vergil says "my son means nothing to me" is actually a mistranslation to japanese which he says "what? I don't know what you mean" or something like that.
