If you are in the community of Latin dancers you cannot even think about that what is wrong with two guys dancing together. The Love and the passion that they have and share is beyond that. Salsa Science of Life! Chapeau to both of the masters Nery Garcia and Oliver Pineda

Two legendary artists in the history of the Salsa world! They are both amazing in leading, following and shining. The transition of leading Seffner following is so smooth. I wish I was there witness their dancing live! I love the way they interpret the music. Nery, I wish you could come visit Hong Kong soon! I'm your biggest fan here. If not HK, maybe somewhere else in Asia. Olivia, I wish i knew how to dance better Salsa when I met you in HK 10 years ago. What a pity that I wasted the chance to dance with you. Wish you two have more collaboration coming soon!

Nery Seeing you dance for the first time, I was delighted. I didn't even think that it was possible to move so cool and make "bomb" figures with a partner. To me, you are the God of Salsa. You inspire me a lot! Seeing your example - I want to become better. I've been watching your videos for 2 years. This video has been watched several times. Very uplifting. I am delighted and happy! You and Oliver did a masterpiece! Thank you very much for being you! I am happy to have the opportunity to see you and learn.

I’ve danced with Nery a few times over the years and it’s people like him who create a kind, safe and inclusive space that help our latin dance community grow and become more relevant. Dancing is a form of celebration that despite our preconceived ideas does not equal a mating ritual, ok? Latin dance is no longer JUST the dance our parents and grandparents used to find a romantic partner. It has evolved into an art expression of its own and dancing just for the love of the art is ok. In fact some of my best dances have been just that, a celebration of the art, with 0 romantic chemistry, just pure fun! For those of you who cringe, please know that dance and gender or orientation are not strictly linked even though the roles male leader and female follower are the tradition in OUR culture. Just take a look at the middle east and you have traditional Turkish men dancing together (yes, physical contact between males: ooooh so cringyy - I can almost guarantee you they are more homophobic than you’ll ever be, and that proves my point exactly - dance has nothing to do with gender or sexual orientation). Those of us that have taken this field seriously and have entered the industry, we have to learn how the dance works in all its complexity and intricacies and that 100% involves learning how to follow, how else are we going to properly teach the craft? I don’t see anyone commenting “cringe” on videos where Delia Madera, Denisse Cambria or Bersy Cortez lead other ladies (and absolutely kill it). Why?

Hahahah Oliver is a great follow. A little heavy but very precise and stable. I led him a couple times when I used to live in Sydney Australia, during class warm-up he sometimes filled-in if there was an uneven number of men/women or whatnot. I've never followed him but I'm sure he's good. I also always wondered if Nery was tall or not, having not met him in person. Considering Oliver is about 5'7", it makes me think that Nery is probably about 5'10"

It's just dancing brother. As an instructor, one must be able to efficiently do both lead and Follow. This was nothing but a display of talent on both sides. To seamlessly transition from lead to follow. Most instructors can't do that.
